A Mahogany Eight Day Striking Longcase Clock, unsigned, Early 19th Century, arched pediment, nicely figured trunk door flanked by inset fluted pilasters, 13-inch painted circular dial with Roman numerals, date and seconds dials, four pillar movement with attached falseplate stamped Finnemore an anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell202cm highCase slightly faded in parts, pediment with finials missing, hood with some cracks to the right hand side and the viewing glass panel has come off, this panel is inside the clock case base, case backboard with a small piece missing to the bottom left hand corner, trunk door with small cracks, metal bezel surround is discoloured, dial markers are rubbed, wooden blocks on top of the case side cheeks, possibly later case, movement looks all complete, with pendulum and two weights.

Ca. AD 100 - 300. A bronze statue of Apollo Citharoedus cast using the lost-wax process. The statue is dressed in a long tunic standing in counterpoise, with his left leg bent at the knee, the heel lifted and his weight shifted to his right leg. Apollo's torso is slightly twisted with the right arm resting on the flat pillar and the left brought forward to grasp a lyra. The statue is based on the original rectangular podium that has four lion paws. Size: 85mm x 28mm; Weight: 105g Provenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the Holland art market in the 1990s.

A Green Chinoiserie Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed John Anderton, London, circa 1730, flat top pediment, side viewing glass panels, case with Oriental gilt painted scenes throughout with pagodas, figures on horseback, birds and floral decoration, 12-inch arch brass dial with a Roman and Arabic silvered chapter ring, dial centre with ringed winding holes, date aperture, seconds dial and signed on a silvered oval plaque, arch with engraved sunburst silvered plaque, four pillar movement with an anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell243cm highCase with cracks and small chips to surfaces in parts, right hand side of the hood with both capitals missing to the back column, case with woodworm holes in parts which appear to be non active, trunk door is bowed, later painted top finials, dial slightly discoloured and with staining marks in places, very thin pieces of wooden blocks later added to the case side cheeks beneath the seatboard, later seatboard, with pendulum and two weights.

Anthonie van Borssom, Cornelis Ploos van Amstel - Church interior - 1774 / Description: Interior of a church with an artist sketching, an artist seated at the foot of a pillar, a lady and gentleman walking behind at right, coats of arms hanging on three pillars; after a drawing by Anthonie van Borssom of 1630 (formerly attributed to Pieter Saenredam); from a series of forty-six print drawings (published in separate sets between 1765-1787). Etched in 1774 and published in 1774 . On the backside the coat of arms of Ploos van Amstel (Lugt. 2034) and inscribed by Ploos van Amstel, in pencil: "P. Saenredam: del. 1630. Ploos van Amstel I.C. F: 1774". Etching and roulette done by his cooperator Bernard Schreuder in Ploos van Amstel's technique to create a crayon-manner result almost equal to the drawing. The design was attributed to Pietrz. Jansz. Saenredam but then a drawing came up signed by the Amsterdam born artist Van Borssom. Drawing now in the British Museum (1912,1214.7) / Dimensions: 19,10 x 15,10 cm / Condition: Top quality original print drawing in excellent condition on laid paper.
