An early 19th century mahogany longcase regulator the circular 11" silvered dial with Arabic and Roman numerals, with central seconds over hours dials within outer minute track and blued steel hands, signed H.T.W. Ellis London, single train 8 day brass six pillar movement with deadbeat escapement and dust cover, the steel pendulum rod with mercury compensated glass jar pendulum and brass cased weight supported on a six spoked brass pulley, the arched hood surmounted with three gilt brass pineapple finials over a trunk with glazed door and reeded canted sides, on a box base with raised outline moulding on plinth height 205cm., width 44.5 cm., depth 23.5 cm. Condition:Winds ticks and runs however no guarantee can be offered as to the full working order. No case key. Winding key later. Original seat board. Case unrestored with chips and losses to veneer. Section of moulding loss to side of hood, another loss to moulding on the plinth base on one side. LARGE ITEMS (W lots) are available for collection the day after the sale, from 17th October.
