Edwardian large easel backed free standing mirror silver mounted with acanthus floral scroll embossing. Height measures approximately 18 1/2ins (46cm). Hallmarked London 1908. (a/f). The mirror is in overall poor condition. The glass is cracked all the way across. The silver detail on the frame has surface scratches, and is very tarnished. There are large build ups of polish in the grooves created by the pattern, and this has badly stained the fabric behind the silver. The silver is peeling away from the frame in places, and parts of it are badly dented, broken, and rough. On the reverse of the mirror the fabric is worn and threadbare, and has holes rubbed in it on the corners. It is ripped off on the stand. Despite this, the mirror is still an attractive piece.
