A robust oak artist's easel. Early 20th century, labelled for John B Smith, Hampstead Road, London, with a cranked mechanism and on castors, height 201cm (minimum), width 69.5cm, depth 70cm.The maximum extended height is 275cm.The easel has been well used but is still robust, sturdy, and useable, with the cranked mechanism operating fine.There is one small area that has been patched and the ceramic castor that is adjustable is brown, the other three are black, please see the additional images.Otherwise, just typical marks and paint splashes from use.

Now I live on my palette-board with my loving and ravishing wife of many long, long, long years, my devoted wolf-dog Zulu and the opportunity to paint with freedom and true expression.
