From an Illuminated MS in the Library at Lambeth Palace ###”          In an oval gilt metal beaded edge frame with frosted “slip”,the back open to reveal the inscription  and with hinged easel support below a hanging ring.          The enamel 10.5 x 8.5 cm, the frame 14.3 x 12.1 cm          A hair line crack  from left to right crossing the sitters left eye, a further hair line crack running from the ermine across the sceptre to the sitters neck, otehr minor abrasions to the surface and edges.                    Prince Albert purchased in 1843 from the artist “Bone Set of Enamels Of The Sovereigns and Queens of England From Edward 111 to Queen Victoria” comprising eleven by Henry Bone and twenty two by Henry Pierce Bone.
