A George V silver cased Goliath pocket watch, the outer case hallmarked Birmingham 1920. CONDITION REPORT: The pocket watch is not currently ticking. The hands do adjust but there is no resistance when the movement is wound. The watch glass is damaged. The case is generally a little tired but has no significant damage. The face is generally dirty and there are several hairline cracks. The silver mount to the outer case has small dents to each corner and various other minor marks and blemishes. The rear of the travel case is in poor condition and the easel back appears to be a replacement.
Three Malaysian silver photograph frames. Tallest 16.5 cm x 11.5 cm, smallest 11.5 cm x 9 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The smallest frame has a hardboard backing and easel support, the easel support is joined by a hinge and is further joined to the backing by length of string in order to stop the hinge fully opening and the picture falling flat. The other two are not a pair but are in fact very similar. All items have no obvious faults to include restorations or splits. One photograph frame is missing a pane of glass.
A silver novelty desk clock in the form of a horseshoe, Douglas Clock Co, Birmingham 1897, gilt metal back and easel support, Registration No. RD.No 254459, in plush fitted presentation case. Height 8.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Overall this is in nice clean condition as it has been protected by its case. There is however a small dent to the bottom right hand edge of the horseshoe. The minute hand from the watch is loose. The movement appears to work. The second hand moves when the movement is agitated. There is a series of small hairline cracks on the enamel dial located around the number 3. There is a further small crack issuing from the centre of the dial pointing towards the number 5. The clock casing appears to be original but does not sit flush when laid on its back therefore the case does not fully shut. The engine turned and gilded back is a little loose and is slightly rubbed. The interior lining of the doors is frayed through use.
