Smith 117 Hampstead London NW with double thread adjustments and pulley operated final extension, unusually to the back there is an adjustable table Condition Report: The easel is about 73cm wide, and 180cm from the floor to the top of the frames, though can be extended considerably beyond this to accommodate larger paintings.

An Edwardian Art Nouveau design shaped hallmarked silver fronted photograph frame with oak easel hinged back, Birmingham 1905, (AF). CONDITION REPORT There should be panels of blue mottled decoration throughout the frame but sadly all either damaged or missing there are also three of the pins holding the facade to the oak missing and there are holes in the raised areas of the silver.
A Victorian stained beech adjustable easel and a white painted beech armchair from the studio of Graham Sutherland, together with a black painted tin box containing four pallet knifes, a wooden paint box inscribed 'BLUE COBALT' and another similar containing the artists chalk and crayons inscribed 'UMBER' on the side and 'THIS BOX'. A late Victorian hallmarked silver photograph frame with embossed decoration, Birmingham 1898 (af), also an ebonised silver mounted pepper grinder, London 1933 (2). CONDITION REPORT: There are a few holes in the silver photograph frame and a few dents. There is also no easel back to it. The pepper grinder is very dirty and one of the pins is missing which holds the base rim intact, otherwise ok.

Framed. 22cm by 18cm Note: Moffat was trained at the Glasgow School of Art. She worked as a painter, illustrator, playwright and teacher of art. This lot is sold with a commemorative booklet published in 1982 containing a series of articles originally published in the Glasgow Herald in 1939 with illustrations by Moffat of the lady artists described. All were members of the Glasgow Society of Lady Artists` Club for which Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed the doorway in 1908.
