Cartier travelling alarm clock with white oval dial, with Roman numerals and subsidiary alarm hand, signed - Cartier Paris, in an oval case with lapis lazuli surround and easel back with Cartier 'C' scroll feet, reverse of case signed and numbered, 9cm overall CONDITION REPORT General overall condition very good. Front glass has deep scratch at 9 o'clock. Rear of case is marked around winder. Lapis finish has some minor damage to surface. Lapis lazuli surround is applied decoration and not solid

Silver mount is dented and has some holes to high points. Decoration is full of silver polish. Velvet back is worn. Easel strut detailed and re-fixed. Rectangular frame - 25.5cm x 20.3cm wide. Silver mount has minor denting and scratching. Borders damaged and distorted. One fastening ear missing. Other frame - 18.7cm high x 13cm wide. Silver mount has some denting and scratching. HRH Princess Alice Countess of Athlone - fine signed presentation black and white portrait photograph of The Princess in her Coronation robes, signed and dated in ink 'Alice Mary 1937', in original gilt embossed leather covered easel frame with domed top with gilt embossed Crown and '12th May 1937' to the base, 43cm x 30.5cm wide. Princess Alice 1883 - 1981, was the last surviving granddaughter of Queen Victoria and the longest lived British Princess of the Blood Royal. She lived through six reigns and died aged 97, on 3rd January 1981
An Edwardian silver easel table mirror maker A*B, Birmingham 1904, with overall foliate and floral decoration, bevelled plate, 11¾ x 8¾in. (30 x 22.25cm.). Condition: Small indent to centralised cartouche, 12 x 10mm piece of silver missing, several small black spots to plate in the lower section, sporadic markings mainly to left side of plate, lower right corner missing a tiny piece of silver, morocco reverse has been subject to linen repairs to the upper section and stand, badly scuffed.

Ltd., Birmingham 1905, arched rectangular form with outset corners, the silver mount with repoussé decoration of a milkmaid beneath the branches of a tree, her sheep beyond, easel back, 8 5/8in. (22cm.) high. Condition: Marks clear. Lower right corner of silver mount missing and a few tiny dings. Chipping to one corner of glass.
A mid 20th century Italian miniature icon, by Mario Bucellati, (Milan, Rome & Florence), the main panel engraved with the image of The Madonna and Child contained within a glazed rectangular frame with foliate border, the easel back frame foliate engraved and inscribed M Bucellati Milano, Roma, Firenze, containing a card printed with the arms of Efrem Forni, inscribed in ink 'Ad Anita Musello - Efrem Forni ............ Nuncio Apostolico, Natale 1944', 5.5 x 4.25cm in woven silk pouch. Provenance: Mario Bucellati (1891-1965) was the founder of the renowned Bucellati jewellers, opening his first shop in Milan in 1919, the family business went on to establish stores in Rome, Florence, New York and Paris. Efrem Forni (1889-1976) was the Papal Nuncio (Ambassador) to Ecuador from 1938-1953. He was made Cardinal in 1962, participating in the Papal Conclave that elected Pope Paul VI. Anita Musello lived in Quito, Ecuador. Her father Gaetano Musello came from Italy to Ecuador in 1926 and lived in an historic house in Quito, close to the Plaza de Santa Domingo. Anita was divorced but never remarried and returned to live with her unmarried sister in their family house. Between 1941 and 1950 the two sisters collected artefacts and paintings, most of which have subsequently either been donated to the National Museum of the Central Bank of Ecuador or sold by the family to restore and maintain the 16th century house.
