An Early 18th Century Printed and Hand-Coloured Fan, the bone monture carved quite lightly, the gorge sticks shaped. The double paper leaf depicts a charming outdoor scene of a Lady at her easel, painting a colourful bird perched on a branch. More such birds are featured in the reserves, including a female and her chicks to the left, and an adult and more chicks on a pond to the right. The verso is plain. Guard length 26cm. The gorge sticks do not follow in shape suggesting some replacement. Break/repair to the lower guard. The leaf has very unusually been stitched on two folds to effect repair. Some patching to upper folds seen from the verso.

Watson & Co, Birmingham 1981, a silver plated egg cruet with six silver spoons (6)Condition: the three salts all have extensive salt damage and one has a clear glass liner that is currently stuck and the salt spoon is in similar condition, the photographs frame has a crew missing to the back, the interior of the egg cups has worn gilding in places and on the exterior the egg cups the plate has slightly worn to the base metal on the high points in places, especially around the base edge, the stand has three edge splits visible on the underside, one of the spoons has a bent handle, the spoons do not have gilt bowls for eating eggs as would be the norm
