Fine 1989 signed presentation colour photographic portrait of The Royal couple signed in ink on the mount 'Diana 1989 Charles' In original green Morocco leather frame with gilt embossed dome top with POW feather crest. Made by Soos of London with easel back. Photo and frame in very good order,(slight lifting of leather to one edge) very slight fading to signatures. Frame 24cm x 18cm. Image 13cm x 10cm. PROVENANCE: Vendors father worked for the Hong Kong government and was in charge of organising the Royal and State visits - and vendors parents met with Charles & Diana and dined with them on Britannia.( Also vendors lots 199)

There is an inscription to top edge 'Charles 29th July 1981 Diana'. There is some surface discolouration/tarnishing, will need a careful clean particularly to top corners. A silver cased pocket watch, London 1877 in a silver mounted desk pocket watch case, Birmingham 1912 Open case pocket watch with key wind movement, (no key present, untested), movement marked 'MATLOCK BANK H.Barnwell No30698'. Clean, balance swings freely and ticks over for several seconds, enamel dial with roman numerals and subsidiary second dial in good condition, no chips or cracks. Approx. 50 mm diameter. Hallmarked: Noah Wright (Coventry), London 1877. Case green velvet lined, silver mounted with green leather backing, handing and easel back. Height 8.5cm x Width 7.5 cm. Several minor dents. (1896-1981) as a subaltern of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, (oak frame, 31 x 16 cm). 2. an Elliott & Fry photograph of a lieutenant-colonel of the Hussars, in a period pewter easel picture frame, (frame size 36.5 x 25.5 cm) 3. an Arcadian China porcelain tank, the hull with the crest of the City of London (LWH 16 x 9 x 7 cm) 4. a Princess Mary Gift Fund box. Gazette Nov 3 1914 - To be temporary 2nd Lt 30 Oct 1914 Gazette April 26 1918 - To be Lieutenant - Temporary Lieutenant Geoffrey Baynton Williams, 3rd Battalion, The. King's Own (Yorkshire Light Infantry), attached 2nd Battalion, 2nd Queen Victoria's Own Rajput Light Infantry. Dated 20th August, 1917, but to rank from 13th July, 1916. Gazette Aug 16 1921 - Military Cross for distinguished service in the Field with the Waziristan Force, India- Capt. Geoffrey Baynton Williams, 8th Rajputs, I.A. For conspicuous gallantry during the attack on the Taziah Canal, south-west of Hillah, on the 7th October 1920. Though opposed by far superior numbers he turned the enemy's position by capturing the head of the canal. From this point he was able to enfilade the insurgents, who were holding a strong position. Throughout the operations Capt. Williams has shown himself to be a bold and skilful leader, especially on this occasion, when he was severely wounded for the third time.
A Victorian Silver Photograph-Frame, by Henry Charles Freeman, Overstricking Another, London, 1892 oblong, the arched top engraved with an initial L below an earl's coronet, with easel back, fittings lacking; Together With a Victorian silver-mounted leather telegram folder, by George Henry James, London, 1893, retailed by Thornhill, New Bond Street, London, oblong and with silver-mounted corners, applied with an initial L below an earl's coronet, containing paper telegram forms printed for the Right Hon. The Earl of Lonsdale, Barley Lodge, Oakhamthe frame 30cm high by 21cm wide, 11oz 10dwt, 357gr, the telegram-holder 23cm wide (2)Provenance: Hugh Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale (1857-1944) and by descent.The photograph frame fully marked on bottom edge and further part marked on easel-back. There is some minor wear to the marks in places but each is still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The back and glass are both lacking. The telegram-holder fully marked on each silver-mounted corner. The initial and coronet apparently unmarked. There is scuffing and loss to the finish of the leather overall.

Bro. Algernon Rose, P.A.G.C., L.R. Founder, First J.W. Third W.M., Assistant Secretary 1915/16, Secretary Since 1917, Preceptor of L. of I., Father of the Lodge as a Token of Affection, and in Appreciation of his Devotion to the Lodge and the Buase of Freemasonry. This Presentation was made at the 21st Installation Meeting November 19th 1930 by the M.W. The Pro Grand Master, The Rt. Hon. Lord Amphill, G.C.S.I., G.C.I.E.'.Fully marked near rim. The marks are clear. There are some very minor surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some minor marks to the easel stand.
