Edwardian mahogany Chippendale design twin pedestal desk writing desk, leather inset top with three frieze drawers, blind fretwork decoration, each pedestal supporting three drawers with brass bale handles, molded ogee bracket feet.width 136cm (54"), depth 76cm (30") height 67cm (30")Brown leather inset with various scuffs, rings marks and signs of usage, sections of molding missing to sides of pedestals (see photographs). The desk splits into three sections (two pedestals and the desk top). Top drawers have no handles but are designed to be opened with a key (no key present).

A Louis XV style etageré, early 20th century, by Edwards & Roberts, the kidney shaped marble top with pierced brass gallery, over a single drawer and on four reeded and brass mounted supports united by a conforming platform, drawer stamped, 75cm high, 53cm wide.Edwards & Roberts were a well known London furniture makers and retailers, primarily producing revival 18th & 19th century French furniture & also fine Sheraton, Hepplewhite & Chippendale reproductions.Condition reportThe mounts are essentially complete, however the top has a retaining border mount that requires realignment to ensure it fits true.Also note that the front left leg has been broken in the past at the top and while the table is currently stable, this could be improved with the help of a good restorer.The drawer fits well and the Edwards & Roberts stamp is clearly visible on the drawer edge.
