Lot 685

A composite set of nine provincial Chippendale style dining chairs various and an Oxford bar back kitchen chair CONDITION REPORTS This lot includes a pair (striped upholstery) condition basically sound thought with some areas of restoration particularly to the back and splat of one and to the top rail of the other - see images for further detail. The carver again has been restored with several splits and breaks to the back splat mended and chips to the rear feet - see images for further detail. The uprights to the back have also both got inset rectangular panels suggesting that the back has been altered. The right arm with repair damage, the rest of the lot comprises a set of six matching chairs which are basically sound though all with wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout. One has a dowel mark to the top of the top rail, one with split to the top rail, one with split to the back splat - see images for further detail. The Oxford bar back chair is very dull in colour and has screw fixing to the left arm and is badly repaired wher ethe same arm meets the back rail also has signs of old woodworm and to the seat and right upright and chew marks to the stretchers.
