A late Victorian Chippendale revival Mahogany SIdeboard having gallery back with low shaped bevel plated mirror having applied scroll and leaf decoration to the frame, step top and with breakfront, central curved end drawer, flanked by short drawers over cupboards, standing on tapering square legs. 66 1/2`` wide x 52`` high x 22 1/2`` deep.
Frederick Harry Baines (1910-1995)-`Lost Sheep`, and `Sower`, a pair, large scale oils on board, both signed and dated 1937, 145x104cm. Provenance this pair of paintings were commissioned by Mr Chippendale, the architect of Timperley Methodist Church, Altrincham, South Manchester, the church was built in 1937 and Mr Chippendale suggested the provision of two paintings, one for each side of the reredos, his proposal was accepted and Mr Chippendale contributed these paintings to the building. In June 2011 Tate Britain contacted Timperley Methodist Church regarding a research project of mural paintings in Britain between 1900 and 1940 with a view to including this pair of Harry Baines murals (illustrated)

A GOOD PAIR OF CHIPPENDALE STYLE MAHOGANY CHINA CABINETSAmerican, 20th CenturyThe broken pediments with dentil molding and open fretwork flank a flaming urn finial, supported by a dentil cornice and gothic arched pendant molding above a pair of locking glass doors inset with individual glass panes set into mahogany gothic mullions supported by a metal framework from behind. The upper cabinet is fitted with adjustable shelves and mahogany veneered back. The lower cabinet houses four locking doors with swan neck bale handles and beaded edge. The drawers are supported by a pair of locking doors with carved shell brackets and molded trim, all raised on plinth bases.Condition: Superb overall. Includes keys.
