A George III Mahogany Tallboy in the "Chippendale" Manner, the upper part with moulded cornice and dentil frieze, fitted two short and three long graduated drawers, flanked by canted corners and blind fret carved uprights, the base fitted three long graduated drawers, on bracket feet, 39.5ins wide x 20ins deep x 69ins highTo the top all three front edges have some general rubbing and edge knocks, the dental part of the frieze and the cornice has areas of timber loss each in a square section around 0.5ins squared on the left and right hand sides, the left side of the top there is a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, the same on the right hand side, there are flight holes present - evidence of historic woodworm, drawers run free and easy with minimal resistance, on the back plates of the drawers handles there is a waxy, chalky residue, to the base on the left and right hand sides there are shrinkage splits present running vertically from one end to the other, the whole chest has been heavily polished and is unevenly faded on the front to the sides, general heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age, there is a foot that is loose but present, overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints

20th century - Chippendale design mahogany 8-day Grandmother clock with a profusely carved and decorated swan's' neck pediment, break arch hood door flanked by reeded pilasters with wooden capitals, trunk with a carved frieze, canted corners, three quarter reeded pilasters and a long trunk door with a wavy top, plinth with carved brickwork to the corners and raised on a shaped base, brass dial with a plain centre, cast spandrels and a silvered "Tempus Fugit" boss to the arch, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, minute track and pierced steel hands, three train spring driven going barrel movement, chiming the quarters and striking the hours on seven gong rods.
