The moulded side above cabriole legs carved at the hip with Rococo style cabochons centring foliate cartouches and terminating on ball & claw feet 18 ¾ ins (48 cms) in height, 21 ins (53 cms) in depth, 19 ins (48 cms) in width.
A Fine & Rare Mid 18th Century Chippendale Period Mahogany Bookcase. The upper section having a cavetto moulded cornice above a single door with original mirrored glass panels; divided by the Rococo style pagoda-form woodwork carved with half acanthus fronds. The upright astrigals having unusual layered block surmounts flanked by pendant bell flower appliqués. The door opening to reveal two height adjustable shelves above a compartment fitted with seven drawers. The lower cupboard having two plain panelled doors enclosing three long drawers with brass hoop handles. The moulding below enriched with stylised acanthus leaf carving above four short cabriole legs with scroll knop feet. 75¾ ins (192 cms) in height, 33½ ins (85 cms) in width, 19 ins (48 cms) in depth.
A Fine Quality Mid 18th Century Chippendale Period Tripod Table. The octagonal galleried top having canted corners and a moulded rail raised on small urn-shaped spindles. The central fluted column above three down-swept legs carved at the hip with foliate cartouches and terminating on similarly carved bulbous pad feet. 28½ ins (72 cms) in height, 26½ ins (62 cms) in diameter.

The astrigal glazed cabinet doors enclosing a height adjustable shelved interior. The lower section having two flame mahogany doors with reeded borders. A George III mahogany straight front chest of drawers, circa 1780, in the manner of Chippendale, the top with moulded edge, above two short and three long drawers with elaborate gilt metal swing handles and escutcheons flanked by rounded corners, on bracket feet, 80.5cm high, 99cm wide, 50cm deep. Provenance: Donnington Castle House, Donnington, Newbury Condition Report:** Marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. No obvious evidence to suggest handles replaced but we cannot guarantee these handles to be original. Vertical splits to the sides. Feet possibly reduced in height.
