A 19th Century mahogany display cabinet, in the Chippendale style, the top surmounted by carved canopy, the middle arched section with lattice carving, the glazed section with three shelves, mirrored back, flanked by two glazed cabinets with display shelves above and below with rocaille scrolls and pierced fret carving to sides and top, with turned finials, raised on scroll feet, approx. 223cm high, 121cm wide and 37cm deep.
A Chippendale-style mahogany bookcase, late 19th century, the arched cornice over two astragal glazed doors and two panelled doors, 116cm wide 44cm deep 336cm high CONDITION REPORT: 95cm bottom, 140cm top section - 235cm high No key. 116cm wide. An 18th century painted open armchair, in the manner of Thomas Chippendale The shell crested padded oval back issuing twin open arms above the padded seat, standing on gadrooned tapering legs. 55 cms wide. Note: This chair was assessed and valued on the Antiques Roadshow at Newmarket in 2001 by John Bly who assessed it to be from the Thomas Chippendale workshop. This lot is accompanied with photographs of the restoration process. CONDITION REPORTS: Re-painted, re-upholstered, various repairs, general wear.
A Chippendale style Bevan & Funnell mahogany breakfront bookcase, the overhanging cornice with plain dentil and arcaded moulding, the upper section with four glazed doors opening to reveal adjustable shelves, the lower section with four solid doors, raised on a plinth base, 216 cm high, 205 cm wide and 40 cm deep.
