One arm chewed, part of left frieze missing.

A Swedish Empire giltwood pier mirror by P.G Bylanders, Gothenberg, circa 1810, the top with grey veined white marble top above dolphin supports, the mirror with eagle surmount above a pair of columns, the label to theback of the mirror titled '.. P.G Bylanders SPEGELFABRIK Husel No, 77 & 78...Gothebora..?', 275cm high, 81cm wide, 47cm deep. Pehr Gustaf Bylander was a mirror and console maker, and he was active between 1810 and 1852 in Gothenburg. He was Sweden's most famous mirror maker during the Empire period. He supplied mirrors and consoles to many country houses and palaces in southern and western Sweden, including Skottorp, Sperlingsholm and Stjernsund. The Nordiska Museum in Stockholm, which is the principal museum of Swedish furniture, has several important mirrors and consoles by Bylander. An 19th Century Giltwood Console Table in the Louis XV Style. The fine green & red figured marble top with rounded corner protuberants above a boldly carved apron centred by a scalloped shell flanked by lattice work panels. The swept legs exuberantly carved with fanned foliage and lobe headed scrolls enriched with acanthus leaves. Joined below by a large plume of feathered foliage with a string of tapered beading and a rocaille work sub-scroll. Terminating on plain knop feet. 39½ ins (100 cms) in height, 38 ins x 17½ ins (97 cms x 45 cms).
An Impressive Sheraton Revival Satinwood Console Table. The beautifully ripple grained top with a cross banded border meeting the carved foliate giltwood edge above two frieze drawers enriched with anthemion motifs and centred by a painted cherubic panel. The flanking protruding rams heads festooned with bell flowers above tapering legs enhanced with bell flower carved in panels and terminating on spade feet. 37 ins (94 cms) in height, 54 ins (137 cms) wide 23½ ins (60 cms) deep.
