Südwestdeutscher Bildhauer der Spätgotik(Tätig um 1480-1500 wohl in Heilbronn)Hl. StephanusLindenholz, dreiviertelrund geschnitzt, auf der Rückseite abgeflacht und ausgehöhlt. Auf Vorderansicht komponiert gestaltete, künstlerisch qualitätvolle Ganzfigur des jugendlichen Erzmärtyrers, dem in der rechten Hand ein Evangelienbuch als Attribut beigegeben ist. Für die Spätgotik stiltypische Skulptur mit charakteristischen eckig umbrechenden Falten. Dr. Maximilian Tatzel schreibt das Werk einem "Meister Hans Seyfried" aus Heilbronn zu. Linke Hand verloren. Skulpturen-H. 59 cm.Provenienz: Deutsche Privatsammlung, erworben 1955 von Dr. Maximilian Tatzel, Baden-Baden (beigefügt Schreiben). Southwest German sculptor active circa 1480-1500.
