A Prince of Wales Investiture Chair, The Earl of Snowden and Carl Toms, a red painted beech and laminate elbow chair produced for the Investiture of the Prince of Wales the back gilt decorated with the Prince of Wales feathers and motto Ich Dien with a padded seat 77cm high, 4000 of these chairs were produced for the 1969 Investiture at Caernarfon Castle North Wales CONDITION REPORT: Minor paint loss, otherwise the overall condition is good - Manufactured by disabled workers at the Remploy factory in Bridgend, the chairs have beech wood frames with seats and backs constructed from preformed plywood, veneered in olive ash and stained in a vermillion red. The backs are embossed with the Prince of Wales’s feathers in gold leaf and the seats are upholstered in red Welsh tweed, using a stable dye that would not run onto the guest’s clothes in case of a Welsh downpour. The underside of the seat bears a Prince of Wales feathers stamp, the date and - obscured by the upholstery - individual handwritten numbering. The chairs were offered for sale after the ceremony and sold flat-packed for £12 each via a promotional advertising leaflet that encouraged guests to re-assemble the chairs for themselves

JERRY (the guy you are fighting) is putting on the air FIVE BROADCASTS DAILY'. Front further reads off the broadcast schedule. 'Well, be kind to your sets, boys, keep off the BBC static and listen to JERRY'. Interesting leaflet in that it uses humour and honestly tells the soldier they will be listening to Propaganda radio, in an attempt to lure him into a false sense of security. 21cm x 15cm.

Double sided leaflet, front of leaflet depicts an image of a German amphibian tank on the battlefield. Reverse of leaflet detailing the strength of the new German amphibian tank ‘sooner or later you’ll be able to see the latest German amphibian tank when it emerges in front of your position. That will be a nice surprise for you! Look at it properly ! …… if not to-day, to-morrow.’ This leaflet was dropped in January 1945 as the battle started to turn against the Germans. 14.5cm x 20.5cm.

Front depicts a soldier and woman kissing in black and white image, copy of the image from the famous Onieda Company Ltd advertisement campaign. The illustration was taken from the ad in the May 8, 1944 issue of LIFE magazine. Under the picture in large capital letters was printed, WHEN? On the back of the poster was printed, "Dead men tell no tells nor do they kiss their girls." These posters were dropped in large numbers behind our lines in an attempt to demoralise the troops. 9cm x 13.5cm.

'Indeed boys, it is a thousand pities that you are our ENEMIES!'. Designed to create tension with US servicemen, even suggesting (at this late stage in the war) that the British and Germans should be united. 18cm x 13.5cm.
