NAZIS IN AUSTRIA: T.L.S. by an unidentified Kreisleiter, one page, 4to, Ebermannstadt, 1st April 1944, to SS-Brigadefuhrer Walter Griphan, in German. The letter, regarding 'Hostile Leaflets', states that on 31st March 1944, the town of Niedermirsberg had the propoganda leaflet 'Stars and Stripes' dropped on them by enemy aircraft, further adding, 'The total of 15 ½kg packets did not open in the air, so the entire set of leaflets was secured intact.' The letter concluding that a report of the incident and contents of the leaflet were being distributed to various local organisations, including the President in Ansbach, the commander of the Order Police, the State Police Office and the NSDAP office in Ebermannstadt. With three hand stamps including one at the head of the page stating 'Secret'. With four file holes to the left edge and minor age wear, otherwise VG
