A large quantity of correspondence mostly from 1914-18 to the Bailey family of Sale Hall and Bowdon. Alfred John Bailey was Colonel of the 7th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers during World War I. There are several letters from soldiers at the front as well as general domestic correspondence to Ethel Bailey. Also a Manchester Football Club leaflet regarding the arrangements for the 1926 season etc, all contained in a black painted deed box (Illustrated)
