A rare poster issued by the Uruguayan state broadcaster Difusion Radioelectrica for 1930 World Cup, with a plan of the newly built stadium showing entrances and the names of stands etc., but also with the pitch divided into a grid numbered 1-30, for the benefit of radio listeners during commentary when reference would be made to whereabouts on the playing field the action was taking place, the poster has been laid down on canvas and applied to a stretcher, 102 by 69cm., 40 by 27in., areas of paper loss but only affecting corners & margins These plans were also produced in leaflet form for listeners following the match at home on their radio sets. This large format poster would have been intended for people following the commentary in bars, cafes and alike.

It was very unusual to publicise bus services during WW2 but this appears to be a public document, possibly due to the presence of important war-time employment along the routes. A scarce survivor in very good condition. [1]

WW2 London Transport fold-out TIMETABLE LEAFLET for Green Line routes 3 and 35, dated 4 December 1940. After withdrawal of all Green Line services upon the outbreak of WW2, a limited network, using route numbers instead of letters, was re-introduced in December 1940, only to be withdrawn again in 1942. Leaflet is in used condition with wear and some small stains but a scarce survivor. [1]
