Heuer - Rare early Autavia automatic chronograph wristwatch with 'Jo Siffert' dial - ref: 1163T, the signed silver 'panda' dial with date, part-polished and luminous filled hands, blue centre chronograph hand, blue accents to the 'ridged' hour markers, two black sunken registers recording hours and minutes, black tachymeter rotating bezel, the 'C' shaped case with signed crown at 9 o'clock and with two reeded pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock, screw down back marked 'Heuer-Leonidas S.A.', signed Cal 11, 17 jewel movement, case No: 141755, with an associated stainless steel bracelet, approximately 42mm diameter, circa 1969/1970 Condition: Movement - currently functions but pushers do not operate correctly, date changes correctly at 12 o'clock, Crystal/Lens - some scratches evident to naked eye, Bezel - revolves but somewhat stiff to operate, good to naked eye but with a visible nick beside 120, Hands - H & M have full lume but there are scratches to the polished surfaces, seconds hand has quite a thick paint finish - maybe redone at the 1987 service, Dial - clean to the naked eye but some minor discolouration spots evident with a loupe, the Autavia font has a pointed 'V', there are luminous dots to the blue accents on the 3, 6 & 9 accents and also to the 'ridged' markers, Case Back - as expected, usual wear but no tool slippage, General - accompanied with a 'Tag Heuer' Service Guarantee leaflet dated 28.7.87. this is a single owner watch which was owned by the vendors late husband who was a keen motorsport enthusiast - **General condition consistent with age
