The hilt and rounded pommel presents intricate silver scroll and granulation designs, further ornamented with a pair of knobs. The fitting scabbard is enhanced with similar decoration to the upper face, whilst the rear is ornamented with beautiful nielloed floral and foliate designs. Middle to New Kingdom, Ca. 1800 - 1550 BC.An Egyptian dagger of type VI according to the classification of S. Petschel. This dagger is of a very rare type, with a complete wooden organic grip. It bears two pommel rivets decorated with golden rosettes. A golden ring sits placed on the grip near the calcite pommel. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
