Caucasus region possibly Chechnya or Dagestan, Ca. AD 1800 - 1900.A very fine steel kindjal dagger featuring a long double-edged blade with deep, central fuller tapering to the point. The hilt and rounded pommel presents intricate silver scroll and granulation designs, further ornamented with a pair of knobs. The fitting scabbard is enhanced with similar decoration to the upper face, whilst the rear is ornamented with beautiful nielloed floral and foliate designs. Middle to New Kingdom, Ca. 1800 - 1550 BC.An Egyptian dagger of type VI according to the classification of S. Petschel. This dagger is of a very rare type, with a complete wooden organic grip. It bears two pommel rivets decorated with golden rosettes. A golden ring sits placed on the grip near the calcite pommel. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy. It show corrosion to its forte and along its edge. The tip is sharp but heavily corroded. The fullers are stained, lightly corroded. The blade will require further. The hilt is stained light to dark brown to one side. The pommel shows the core of the tusk. It maybe that an applied decorative device is now lacking.The cloth applied tot he sheath is torn and stained. The finial is present and in good condition albeit stained.

The blade is pitted and corroded. Its edges and tip are sharp. It would require further attention. The hilt is in very good condition. The possibly added later plaques have corroded in dark brown to black. One plaque is lacking two inlays.
