Celtic, a bronze dagger pommel, 1st century BC, male bust moulded in the round with straight grooves for the hair and an oval face with incised lines forming the eyes and mouth; at the base, which is elliptical, are the remains of the iron tang of the dagger, 37mm x 23mm; together with a small head of Silenus with a spike behind for attachment [2]. Both fine £60-£80 --- Provenance: Found at Fitzhead (Somerset) (PAS DEV-5965A6)

Overall an honest example.

The hilt is in good condition being free from cracks or splits showing no obvious sign of repair, however there are some light bruises to the rear, the blade is bright and free from corrosion and showing some light marks having been withdrawn from the scabbard. Overall an honest example.
