ORIGINAL LUFTWAFFE 2ND PATTERN DAGGER with white handle and deluxe hangers Luftwaffe 2nd pattern, blade maker marked AC - Alcosa Solingen. The deluxe hangers show remnants of gold gilt, which could indicate this once belonged to a high ranking officer. Correctly maker marked DRGM and UE 10 RZM Provenance: Consigned by the Grandson of the Landlord of the Bridge Pub in Middlesbrough. This lot along with a number of others was taken to cover a bar tabs in the 1950s.

Together with a short all metal construction short lance/stabbing spear with 34cm long quatrefoil blade. Overall length 106cm. Marked "M.P/M.S.R.V.I.S.." and "462".

WW2 German Kriegsmarine Officers Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, fine example of the standard pattern naval officers dress dagger. Gilt eagle and swastika top pommel, white celluloid grip with wire binding, gilt cross guard with fouled anchors to the centre and press button to the reverse. Complete with the original gilt scabbard with two hanging rings. Partially double edged blade with etched panels of fouled anchor and foliage. Eickhorn trade mark to the base of the blade. Much of the original finish remains to the blade. The blade measures 25cms, overall 42cms. Very good example.
Third Reich Model 1933 SS Enlisted Mans Dress Dagger by Herder, black ebony grip retaining eagle and enamel SS runes devices. Lower guard crudely engraved to the reverse with the number “495892”. Housed in its original scabbard with both mounts and short pattern leather hanger. The blade etched with motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue” and remains in very good condition with much of the original polish. Reverse of the blade has the makers trade mark. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37 ¾ cms. Some wear to the exterior with a small chip to the grip near the enamel runes.
Unusual 20th Century Indian Dagger Jambya, iron hilt inlaid with silver flowers and foliage, tapered polished steel blade with raised medial ridge, in its brass mounted sheath; and a 20th century Bosnian knife from Sarajevo, single edge blade, fluted nickel hilt and plain nickel covered sheath. Blades 20cms and 18.5cms respectively. Both 20th century, good condition. (2 items)
Early Special Air Service (S.A.S) Beret, very interesting worn sand coloured beret with large type WW2 style embroidered winged dagger beret badge of the Special Air Service. The beret has brown leather trim and the side gromets have a brown leather panel. Un-marked black cloth lining to the interior of the beret. Top of the beret with typical WW2 spiral spun weave pattern. Some moth holes and wear.
Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern Officers Dress Dagger by WMW Waffen, dagger with orange celluloid grip having the original wire binding, however this has become loose in places. Small section of the grip missing to the bottom at the reverse. Top pommel with swastika to both sides. Cross guard in the form of eagle in flight clutching swastika in its talons. Housed in its original scabbard with two hanging rings. Plain double edged blade retaining much of the cross grain finish. Blade stamped with WMW Waffen trade mark to the base. Blade measures 23cms, overall 42 ½ cms.
Hitler Youth Boys Dagger by Grawiso Solingen, two piece chequered grips with enamel HJ diamond insignia inserted to the centre. Plated top and cross guard. Housed in its original scabbard with leather belt loop hanger. Used blade with makers trade mark to the reverse. The blade measures 12 ½ cms, overall 25cms. Scabbard possibly re-painted.
WW1 Souvenir Grouping Collected by Sapper L Swindale Royal Engineers, the grouping consists of brass and nickel centred Prussian other ranks belt buckle, 1917 dated German Mauser bayonet without scabbard, German Deer hoof handled fighting knife with paper label to the scabbard “German dagger picked up Dohuk September 1918 and a native Arabic dagger in its scabbard with paper label “Dagger from Bashega tribe, Dohuk September 1918”. Accompanying the souvenirs is the original WW1 medal pair awarded to “2359 SPR L SWINDALE R.E”, two wartime homemade Christmas cards on khaki drill cloth and certificate of identity dated 1919. Interesting little grouping. The labels on the daggers very feint and difficult to read.
Personalised 1936 Pattern SS Officers Chained Dress Dagger, fine example of the model 1936 pattern dress dagger having type II chains. Black ebony grip with eagle and enamelled SS runes fitted. Nickel silver cross guard and top mount. Officers dress knot / portopee attached to the grip. Dagger is complete with the original scabbard having much of the anodised finish remaining, swastika central fitting and plain top and lower fittings. Type 2 linked hanging chains with runes and deaths head links. Reverse of the chains stamped with SS runes acceptance stamp. The top fitting is engraved with the initials of the original officer “G S”. Correct pattern officers blade without trade mark. Blade etched with motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue”. Some light surface staining to the blade but generally still good condition. Blade measures 22cms, overall 36 ½ cms.
Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern Officers Dress Dagger with Engraved Blade, fine example of an orange handled Luftwaffe 2nd pattern dress dagger with the top pommel retaining much of the gilt wash finish to the central swastika on both sides. Orange celluloid grip retaining the wire. Luftwaffe pattern cross guard with attached officers dress knot / portopee. Housed in the original scabbard with two hanging rings. Blade is etched with foliage and early droop tail pattern eagle to the obverse and the reverse etched with foliage, but the presentation panel has been scratched out, common practice for German families after the war who did not want the family name associated with the Third Reich. Blade has no makers trade mark. The blade measures 25cms, overall 42 ½ cms.

Housed in its original brass hammered scabbard with two hanging rings. Partial double edged blade etched with foliage and fire fighters symbols etc. Makers mark to the base of the blade. Some light areas of surface staining. Blade measures 24cms, overall 40 ½ cms.
Impressive Decorative Dagger of the Historismus Period, wavy reinforced blade, engraved and writhen iron cross piece, iron grip embossed with a knight holding a lance, and a squatting naked figure beneath a stylised lion’s head, in its elaborate iron scabbard pierced, chased and engraved with knight beneath a mask, with a naked figure, and chased with apocryphal date 1620. Good condition. Overall 53cms, blade 30cms.
Third Reich Model 1933 SS Enlisted Mans Dress Dagger by E Pack & Sohne, black ebony grip fitted with metal eagle and enamel SS runes. Nickel silver cross guard and top mount. Housed in its original scabbard with much of the anodised finish remaining. Attached to the scabbard is the short leather hanger with the clip stamped RZM M5/8. Blade remains in very good condition having deep etched motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue” in gothic script and the reverse side with RZM 1211/39 and SS runes, this RZM code being that for the maker E Pack & Sohne. Much of the cross graining remains to the blade with just minor finger marks. Blade measures 22cms, overall 37 ½ cms.
WW2 Third Reich Social Welfare Officers Dress Dagger, good example of the officers dress dagger worn by Social Welfare officers as part of the German Red Cross, Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (D.R.K), The dagger with its perfect un-damaged top pommel with screw nut, orange grip and cross guard having langet with DRK insignia to the centre. Attached to the dagger is an officers pattern dress knot / portopee but not the correct issue example with the red fleck. Housed in its original scabbard with the hanging strap posts having circles as opposed to squares associated with Red Cross officers. Fine partially doubled edged plain blade with medial ridge. Blade is un-maker marked as it should be. Much of the cross graining can be seen on the blade. The blade measures 24 ¾ cms, overall 38 ½ cms. Small dent to the lower part of the scabbard but otherwise a very good example.

Luftwaffe 1st Pattern Officers Dress Dagger by Tiger, very good example of a 1st pattern dagger with aluminium fittings. Gilt remains to the mobile swastikas in the top pommel and cross guard. Blue leather covered grip with wire binding. Scabbard with blue leather covering and aluminium mounts with linked chain hangers having “OLC” marked clip. Double edged plain blade with Tiger Solingen makers trade mark to the base. Overall a very good example. Blade 31cms, overall 49 ½ cms.
