Overall 41cm long approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Overall externally very worn, particularly to the gilded finishes. The braiding is very grubby and greasy. Blade is tarnished and has a broken tip.

This copy matches Atabey's collation but with a few gatherings (containing indexes) bound in a different order.

Housed in its plated metal scabbard fitted with two oakleaf ornament bands supporting suspension rings. Minor service wear. VGC

Housed in gilt hammered metal scabbard with suspension-rings in oakleaf lockets. Gilding toned, minor service wear,one throat screw absent otherwise VGC ... together with the Officer’s pinback circular red, white and black NSDAP membership badge by L. Christian Lauer, Nürmberg stamped on reverse “M1/13”. Minor enamel chip to edge. (2 items)
German Third Reich Government Official’s dagger and knot by Alcoso, Solingen circa 1939-42.A fine rare example with simulated mother of pearl grip and silver plated mounts. Eagle’s head ornamented pommel, crossguard and langet bearing an eagle and swastika facing same way as pommel. Plain polished double-edged blade etched with maker’s scales logo. Reverse of ferrule, crossguard and scabbard throat with matching number ‘2’. Housed in its finely pebbled plated scabbard with fine oakleaf bands supporting both loose suspension rings. Complete with original aluminium wire portepee (knot). VGCIntroduced in March 1939; production ceased in mid 1942.
German Third Reich NSKK Model 1936 chained dagger by FW Höller, Solingen.A good scarce nickel mounted example. The plated double edged blade bears etched motto “Alles für Deutchland” and RZM logo over M7/33. Brown wooden grip with inlaid silvered eagle and swastika and enamelled SA circular device. The crossguard stamped “Nm”. Housed in brown anodised scabbard with plated mounts. Complete with chains bearing mobile swastikas, SA device and central triangle links, one link marked RZM M5/8 (Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid) on reverse, another marked “MUSTERSCHUTZ NSKK-KORPSFUHRING”. Oakleaf ornamented spring clip. Slight service wear and light surface rust to scabbard.

Dark blue leather grip with black enamel swastika to centre of copper disc in centre of down swept crossguard on either side. Double edged polished blade bearing oval logo of Carl Julius Krebs of Solingen. Housed in original leather covered nickel plated scabbard; the throat not marked, bearing single loose ring. Complete with black leather suspension strap with oval aluminium securing plate and Assmann marked DRGM spring clip. Wear to scabbard chape plating, blade bright. Generally VGCRemoved by Captain R.J. Hewett 316367, a Military Government Officer 21st Army Group, from the desk of the Düsseldorf Chief of Police.
German Third Reich 2nd pattern RLB dagger by EH Horster, Solingen.A good scarce example adopted in 1938. Black turned ebonised grip with applied silvered star bearing black enamel swastika; the langet bearing stylised eagle and swastika. Housed in its black painted metal scabbard with plated chape; complete with black leather strap, the spring clip bearing ‘OLC’ diamond logo (Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid). Blade retains most original cross grain finish; plating to grip star worn, scabbard paint with traces of paint only. GCRLB was the Air Raid Precautions.

German Third Reich 1941 RZM marked SA Stormtrooper’s dagger by Tigerwerk Lauterjung & Co., Solingen.A good clean example with nickel plated mounts, the blade etched “Alles für Deutschland” and bearing RZM logo and “M.7/68” and 1941. Brown wooden grip inlaid with silvered eagle and enamelled circular SA device. Housed in original brown painted scabbard with nickel plated mounts, the top one with single suspension ring retaining brown leather hanging strap faintly stamped with RZM stamp and “12/371” ‘40’ (the clip stamped M5/25 (Christian Theodor Dicke, Lüdenscheid) and bears RZM logo. Blade retains most original cross grain. Minor service wear. VGCSA (Sturmabteilung) “Brown Shirts” dagger introduced in 1933.

Housed in original brown anodised scabbard with nickel mounts and a single suspension ring. Some file marks and adjustment to blade by the crossguard, minor service wear. Generally VGC.SA (Sturmabteilung) “Brown Shirts” dagger introduced in 1933.
