A WORKSPLATE "Beyer Peacock & Co. Ltd Gorton Foundry Manchester, 1888". This impressive worksplate was carried by a South Australian Railways 3'6" gauge 2-6-0 of Class Y, Nos. 80-88 (BP Works Nos. 2907-2915); or Nos. 90 and 91 (BP 2973 and 2974). Oval cast brass, 163/4"x8", in fine ex-loco maroon paint.
