Pliocene Period, 5.2-2.5 million years BP. A fossil bone carving from Java. 75 grams, 58mm (2 1/4"). From an old Bristol paleontological collection, acquired 1950s-1960s. Mastodons are species of extinct Mammut, distantly related to elephants, that lived during the late Miocene or late Pliocene Period up to their extinction at the end of the Pleistocene 10000 to 11000 years ago. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
Middle Jurassic to Upper Cretaceous, 160-70 million years BP. A group of seventeen belemnites to include: Belemnopsis bessinus from the Middle Jurassic, 170-160 million years BP; Hibolithes sp from the Middle Jurassic to Upper Cretaceous, 160-70million years BP; Gonioteuthis quadrata from the Lower Cretaceous, 70-68 million years BP; Belemnella lanceolata from the Middle Cretaceous to Upper Cretaceous 100-68 million years BP; and one very large Belemnopsis bessinus that has been repaired and restored. 549 grams total, 7-17.5cm (2 3/4 - 7"). From an old Bath paleontological collection, acquired 1930s-1940s. [17 No Reserve] Fine condition, some repaired.

Middle Jurassic to Upper Cretaceous, 160-70 million years BP. A group of five fossil echinoids (sea urchins) to include: two UK Micraster echinoids from the Middle Cretaceous Period; one UK Conulus echinoid from the Upper Cretaceous Period; one Echinocorys vulgaris from the Upper Cretaceous Period; one polished Encopeta miamiensis from the Miocene Period of Florida. 268 grams total, 36-51mm (1 1/2 - 2"). From an old Bath paleontological collection, acquired 1930s-1940s. [5 No Reserve] Fine condition.
Eocene Period, 58-36 million years BP. Two Knightia alta fossil fish on a matrix from Wyoming (Green River Formation), USA. 898 grams, 22cm (8 1/2"). From the Pradi Collection, Boston, USA; acquired during 1980s. In southwest Wyoming (and parts of Colorado and Utah) in the Green River Formation are found some of the world's most outstanding specimens of fossil fish. The Green River system was composed of three lakes: Lake Ulinta, Lake Gosiute and Fossil Lake. These Eocene Lakes lay in a series of intermountain basins formed by geological events that uplifted the Rocky Mountains during the early Tertiary time.The Climate was much different from the desert-like climate of this area today. crocodiles, alligators, boa constrictors and some subtropical fish families) and the flora (such as large palm trees) indicate a climate much like that found along the Gulf Coast today. Large amounts of ash found in the sediments indicate that volcanoes were particularly active at this time. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
Jurassic Period, 199-145 million years BP. A mixed group of ammonites from the UK including: Liparoceras from the Jurassic Period; Graphoceras, from the Inferior Oolite, Dorset; Leioceras comptocostatum, from the Jurassic Period, Dorset; an Amaltheus sp. from the Jurassic Period and two partial ammonites. 2.8 kg, 7-16cm (2 3/4 - 6 1/4"). From an old Bath paleontological collection, acquired from the UK art market. [6 No Reserve] Fair condition.
Devonian Period, 350-100 million yeras BP. A group of one hundred and twenty seven British ammonites, many showing pyrite formation. 266 grams total, 9 - 29mm (1/2 - 1 1/4"). Ex Colin White collection, UK; collected from various sites in the UK in the 1960s and 1970s; thence by descent. [127 No Reserve] Fine condition.

Bahr & Proschild: An early 20th century Bahr & Proschild bisque head doll, open mouth, revealing two top teeth, eyes open and close, stamped to the back of the neck, 'BP (within a heart) 585, G', 11 inches long. Condition Report: slight losses to fingers and feet, head appears undamaged, slight flaking to eye lids.
Three boxed Matchbox diecast models from the '1-75' range, including 39b Pontiac Convertible in yellow with crimson base, SPW, with red steering wheel, 66b Harley Davidson and 75a Ford Thunderbird with SPW in 'B3 type' box together with Accessory Pack A1 'BP Garage Pumps and Sign' with plastic accessories on sprue. A boxed Matchbox MG-1 'Showroom and Service Station' with yellow base and red building, missing roof sign, otherwise G and may benefit from careful cleaning, in P/F box with grubbiness, crushing, creasing, tears and missing one inner tab and a portion of the lip of one end flap. Also included in this lot are A1a Esso Petrol Pumps and Sign and an M-1 BP Autotanker, all G, unboxed.
A boxed Matchbox Series Gift Set G-4 'Grand Prix Race Track Set' containing model numbers 13b BPW, 14c BPW, 19c missing driver, 32b BPT, 41b wire wheels, 47b BPW, 52a lemon with wire wheels, 73b and M1 BP Autotanker together with two 'International Motor Racing' booklets and card Roadway R-4. The contents of the set have a liberal coating of black 'sooty' dust. The outer sleeve has tears, fading, grubbiness, staining, creasing and is also parting at the box seam. The models are displayed within the box on two yellow plinths and may benefit from careful cleaning. The R-4 Racetrack Roadway has some staining and grubbiness and though unused some 'press-out' sections are lifting slightly. The two identical leaflets are both good.
