REEL: Allcock`s Aerial 4.5" diameter alloy centre pin reel, 6 spoke see through drum with removal spring only, twin tapered xylonite handles, 8 large holes to front flange, stamped Patent, solid rear flange,1-1/8" between plates, factory BP alloy line guide, brass on off button to backplate, calliper check and blue steel pawl, backplate stamped The Allcock Aerial, S Allcock & Co Ltd Redditch, England", in round logo, superb condition, retains virtually all dark lead finish, spins true, no wobble.
REEL: Rare Allcock`s Unventilated alloy centre pin reel, 4" diameter solid alloy flanges, see through drum, the front flange stamped Patent, 6 spoke with tension regulator and drum release, twin tapered polished horn handles, factory BP brass line guide, correct 4 pin smooth brass foot, backplate brass on off check button, internal calliper check with blue steel pawl, drum measures 13/16th between plates, spins freely, no cracks or damage, rarely seen example, dating c1903-09. **Introduced as a transition between ebonite drum and all aluminium, few survive, probably as the drum weight was too heavy**.
REEL: Extremely rare Allcock double ventilated wide drum 4" Aerial reel, LHW, with large/small perforations to both drum plates, twin reverse taper tan handles, 6 spoke with tension regulator, factory BP alloy line guide for LHW, correct 2 screw smooth brass foot, see through drum with calliper check and blue steel pawl, backplate on/off brass check button and stamped "The Allcock Aerial" in maker`s circle logo, spins freely, in fine condition and rare to find with the larger size second hole ventilations front and back.
