The pierced back decorated with undulating scrolls of foliage and having a crested top rail between figural carved side supports depicting winged angels with gilded tunics metamorphosing into scrolls of foliage. The seat with a sculpted crimson velvet swab cushion fringed in tassels, standing on a voluted base. 46½ ins (118 cms) high, 28½ ins (72 cms) wide, 16 ins (41 cms) deep.

The open rectangular framed back with a plain centre splat and slightly splayed sides, padded by a slot on cushion of brown coarsely woven fabric matching the swab cushion of the pine planked seat. The arms on turned supports leading down to turned legs with square feet united by peripheral stretchers. 34½ ins (88 cms) high, 24½ ins (62 cms) wide, the seat 13½ ins (33 cms) high.
