A GEORGIAN NAVAL DIRK, 41cm flattened diamond section fullered blade etched EDWARD EDWARDS OWEN 1794-1838, characteristic copper gilt hilt with cushion pommel, the reeded ivory grip with engraved central copper band with traces of a rampant lion, contained in its copper gilt mounted leather scabbard. Scabbard leather replaced, together with a further Georgian naval dirk, 35cm flattened diamond section fullered blade, copper gilt anchor form hilt with tapering ivory grip. (2) There is an Edward Edwards Owen listed as a Lieutenant in 1827 in the Navy List.
A LATE 18TH CENTURY NAVAL OFFICER'S FIVE BALL HILT SPADROON, 81cm blade etched with foliage, floral sprays, crowned Royal arms and crowned GR cypher, regulation copper five-ball hilt with D-shaped knuckle guard, looping side guard, cushion pommel, reeded ivory grip with copper band decorated with a crowned fouled anchor, contained in its engraved copper mounted tooled leather scabbard.
A pair of mid century tan leather and fibreglass tub chairs, possibly French, by Airbourne, W.3ft 1in. D.2ft 7in. H.2ft 8in.CONDITION: Both chairs with a fair amount of wear from use to the leather, with a combination of bleaching in places and dirt marks in others and fine crazing and cracking throughout, most notably at the front of the cushion where they have seen the most amount of wear, they do however look like they will be restorable, perhaps using a professional leather restorer, the white main bodies of the chairs have small scattered chips and dents but overall are in fair to good condition.
An Andersen & Andersen & Palle Pedersen for Horsnaes teak armchair, c.1963, with original pale green fabric upholstery, W.2ft 3in. D.2ft 5in. H.2ft 7in.CONDITION: Overall in honest original condition albeit with wear from use, the fabric is perhaps slightly faded but still retains fair strength of colour, also is a little dirty with other darker scattered spots particularly to the seat cushion, underframe all looks original, original black fabric has a tear at the front, Horsnaes label to the back of the seat, the teak frame is somewhat faded particularly to the tops of the arms.

An Edward VII Silver-Mounted Jewellery-Box Pin-Cushion, by Horton and Allday, Birmingham, 1905, shaped oblong, the sides applied with openwork Art Nouveau style foliage and flower mounts, the hinged cover with pin-cushion, the interior fitted as a jewellery box, 21cm wide . Fully marked on side. There is some minor wear to the marks. There is some wear to the high points of the decoration and some areas where the silver has possibly been worn through. There is some damage and bruising around the keyhole and general wear to the velvet.
A 20th Century Barrel Shaped Library Armchair, covered in close-nailed red leather, with rounded arms, squab cushion, and a curved seat rail, on square tapering forelegs, 86cm by 55cm by 98cm. Overall leather surfaces showing signs of fading and wear consistent with age and use, both arm areas showing signs of discolouration through use, seat cushion is faded overall, reasonable wear to the front edge, structure is solid, cushion content and overall structure upholstered with natural and manmade fibres. Seat 59cm by 62cm wide.

This order was instituted on April 28th, 1818 by George, Prince Regent (later, King George IV) and originally awarded for exceptional merits “to those holding commands or high position in the Mediterranean territories acquired in the Napoleonic Wars”, later extended to all those holding similar office in other territories of the British Empire.The Collar, worn by Knights Grand Cross only, was used during the highest ceremonial occasions only. It was destined to reward Indian Princes and Chiefs as well as British Officers and Civil Administrative who saw their service in India and were signaled for their conspicuous merits. Diplomatically, the first award was done to the heads of the Indian Maharajas and Princes and to the highest British authorities in India.After 1948, no further award was granted. It was founded on 29 December 1951 and awarded to “military commanders who show personal courage, self-sacrifice, involvement in commanding and distinct role in creation, fixing and training of Armed Forces of SFRY during the war” (translated from the decree of institution). In the period 1951-1984, it was conferred 209 times only, of which 204 to Yugoslavs and the further 5 to SovietGenerals.Note: Dušan Ćorković, born in 1921, was among the first fighting in the Yugoslavian Partisan Forces and in the organization of the Communist Party, he was active in the struggle against German and Italian forces throughout the war. At the war’s end and in the months immediately after, he was responsible of atrocities against the Italian ethnic component in Dalmatia and against prisoners of war. No attempts to have him convicted or put under trial succeeded.He also studied at the higher war college in Moscow, continuing a brilliant career in the Yugoslavian army, where he reached the rank of Colonel General.Among his many honours, he was also proclaimed Hero of the Yugoslavian People on July 23rd, 1952. He passed away on May 23rd, 1980, receiving statehonours. I RR!
