A 5 inch gauge model of a Great Western Railway Auto-coach, built by Mr J. Atkin of Barry, with twin bogies, buffers and hand operated brake, the coach finished in brown and cream livery; complete with detachable full length ride-on seat with loose cushion and detachable foot rests, 35cm high, 27cm wide, 173cm long.
A cased Edwardian gold bar brooch, with a centre applied cherry, green guilloche enamelled leaves with a pearl (untested) peg set to represent the fruit, the case initialled to the lid `BMT`, with a silk lined interior, Austin & Williams, 6 Conduit Street, London W., together with a Victorian gold heart and cross pendant, the heart with a trefoil cluster of cushion shaped diamonds to a royal blue guilloche ground, glazed locket verso to woven hair beneath, with an articulated cross pendant drop, decorated with a central cushion shaped Swiss cut diamond to a royal blue guilloche ground (2)
A late Victorian diamond set spray brooch, c.1880, the flowerhead set at the centre with a cushion shaped diamond, estimated as approximately 0.40ct, in a cut down collet, the petals set with graduated old Swiss cut and rose cut diamonds, mounted to a spray of diamond set leaves. Silver setting to a gold back. Tested as approximately 15ct gold
A Victorian gold and silver paste set hinged bangle, the centre cushion shaped faceted dark blue paste claw set to an open frame, surrounded by faceted white stones set in silver. Trifurcated yellow shoulders of blade edge bar to a concealed clasp and safety chain. Marked 18c and tested as approximately 18ct gold
A diamond and natural pearl fringe necklet, seven graduated old European and cushion cut diamonds, each one claw set to a Victorian collet, surmounting a blade edge bar pendant drop. The centre bar claw set with a silver grey baroque shaped pearl to a further claw set grey pearl. The remaining six bars culminating in a single claw set baroque pearl in various shades. The bars all later mounted to a spiral link chain with a spiral style box clasp, unmarked, but possibly Russian. An estimated total diamond weight of approximately 5.50ct. Accompanied by a pearl report from the Gem and Pearl Laboratory, No. O2624, dated 09/03/2010 stating the eight undrilled pearls were all found to be natural pearls (saltwater) with no evidence of treatment
A Fine Early 19th Century Lacquered Chinoiserie Work Box of Rectangular Cushion Form with bevelled corners. The whole intricately decorated with gilded pagodas, figures, flowers & foliage on a black ground and opening to reveal a fitted interior housing carved ivory sewing implements above a frieze drawer of further compartments. Standing on gilt metal lion paw feet 13½ ins (34 cms) wide, 9½ ins (24 cms) deep, 6 ins (15 cms) high.
A Pair of Decorative 19th Century Persian Candlesticks. The cylindrical upper stem sections having brass nozzles and two ornamental bands of silver metal overlay depicting figures amidst meandering foliage. The brass knopped lower stem sections leading down to square cushion moulded bases with intricate copper & silvered overlay of flowers and foliage scrolling around horse-back figures in cartouches each side. Standing on pointed pad feet 7½ ins (19 cms) in height.
A Fine 19th Century Louis XIV Style Gilt Wall Mirror. The bevelled cushion-front oval centre plate set in an inner beaded surround within a gadrooned outer frame of elongated octagonal form having bevelled mirror insets in-between. The corners adorned with shell crested foliate sprays. The top surmounted by a lavish scrolling pediment centred by a cherub sat amidst laurel branches,foliage & husk flowers issuing pendant garlands, 53½ ins x 36 ins (136 cms x 91 cms).
An Impressive 17th Century Italian Ebonised & Tortoiseshell Cabinet on a George I Giltwood Stand. The front fitted with two columns of five short cushion moulded drawers flanking two long drawers, each inlaid with rectangular red tortoiseshell panels bordered with ivory stringing. The two large cushion moulded central cupboard doors hung on large gilt fleur-de-lys hinges and having large red tortoiseshell panels inlaid with ivory archways and a chequered ground. The internal frieze drawer with gilt mouldings above a recess with mirrored `perspective` interior with a geometrically tiled ivory & tortoiseshell floor. Gilt columns divide the mirrors and the removable side panels which reveal four additional secret drawers. The giltwood & gesso stand carved with acanthus leaves and scrolls of foliage adorning the tall cabriole legs; terminating with foliate pad feet. 59½ ins (151 cms) high, 50 ins (127 cms) wide, 20 ins (51 cms) deep.
A late 19th Century wall clock, with eight day movement striking to gong, the ivorene chapter ring with Roman numerals, with compensating pendulum, the stained wood and mahogany veneered case with floral cresting, turned fluted half pillars over a cushion base with inverted finials, 29" high
