A Chinese famille rose porcelain dish, mark of Qianlong but 20th Century, painted with figures and pavilions in a coastal landscape, within a yellow ground border of polychrome lotus flowers and tendrils, together with a Chinese blue and white plate, 18th Century, painted with flowers and a famille rose export porcelain plate (cracked).
A group of six Chinese armorial export porcelain plates, Qianlong period, circa 1780, each painted with a central coat of arms, possibly those of Bluett, and bearing the motto `Merit and Posess` [sic], the rim with scattered flowers and initialled `JWB` in gilt, comprising five soup plates and a dinner plate, diameter approx 23cm (damage and wear to three and hairline cracks to other three).
A mixed lot, comprising; a good horn notelet, the covers in dark horn, inlaid to one side in white metal with engraved birds amid flowers, white metal clasp, four ivory leaves, 5.4cm x 3cm, a Chinese engraved mother-of-pearl snowflake silk winder, 5cm, a mother-of-pearl birdcage tape measure with gilt pillars and slightly reduced printed silk tape, and two needle packets. A collection of Oriental and English ceramics to include two 19th Century Chinese porcelain plates painted in underglaze blue with flowers, an Oriental porcelain armorial plate, an Oriental porcelain vase decorated with prunus blossom, a collection of Spode's Jewel plates, a small quantity of Royal Doulton "Spindrift" pattern plates, a collection of Royal Worcester "Regency" pattern plates, a late 19th/early 20th Century chamber pot and cover transfer decorated in green, an English soup plate decorated in the Imari palette, a transfer decorated warming plate, etc CONDITION REPORTS The two Chinese plates with chips, wear and crazing and one plate cracked. The armorial plate with wear and scuffs and some chips to foot rim. All other items with wear, scuffs and crazing. Some with stains and losses but generally other items appear in reasonable condition.

Two German porcelain plates, each transfer decorated with reserves of courting couple, together with a 20th century Chinese export plate, decorated with flowers and dragons within a reserved floral band, a Worcester teapot of globular form (date mark for 1912) and a pair of pink vaseline tinted glass dishes, each with wavy rim.
A Chinese armorial large dish c.1745, painted with the arms of Chandler of London, with a banner of three lions on a shield and elaborate scrolling foliage, within a spearhead border, the rim with four floral sprays, wear to the gilding and enamels, 38.4cm. Cf. D S Howard, Chinese Armorial Porcelain p.459, for a similarly decorated plate.
A good Chinese gilt bronze Sakyamuni, 14th/16th century, crisply cast, seated cross-legged with billowing scarf on a lotus throne, her head with serene expression under a tall crown, the hands in dhyana nudra supporting an incense burner, 15.5cm Sakyamuni is symbolic of tranquility and can take many forms. The base plate is missing and reveals a possibly original sutra at the head. This bronze would probably respond well to judicious cleaning, revealing that it was entirely gilt.
18th C CHINESE GOLD ON RED QIANLONG SAUCE PLATE Antique Chinese hand painted gold on red Qianlong sauce plate having a dragon design. Has turquoise bottom holding six character archaic Qianlong (1736 - 1795) reign mark to bottom and made of the period. Measures 7/8" height x 3 1/8" diameter (2.2cm x 7.9cm). Total weight of 62 grams.
