A pair of 18th century Chinese blue and white rectangular dishes, decorated with figures and buildings and repeating borders, circa 1770. Length 25 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both dishes are in generally very good condition. We can see no evidence of any repairs or restoration. There are no hairline cracks. There are no substantial chips. The outer edge of each plate is slightly rough in places. These in the main being small glaze firing marks. One plate does have a very small edge chip, probably caused by a plate hanger.
A 19th century Chinese plate, decorated in Canton colours with boys. Diameter 29.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The plate is in generally good condition. There are no chips, no repairs and no restoration. There are some minor glaze imperfections to the centre, but other than this the condition is very good.
A pair of late 18th/early 19th century Chinese polychrome dishes, diameter 23 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both plates are free from any repairs or restoration. They have minor nibbles to the outer edge of the rim consistent with plate hangers. This is evidenced by minor glaze chips and nibbles to the underside edge of both rims. When viewed from above both plates have minor nibbles to the brown outer rim.
