Estimated total diamond weight 0.55cts, colour H-I, clarity SI1-P2. Weight 3.34gms. Condition: The ring is in overall fair condition. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the sapphires, one of the outer sapphires is rounded and seriously abraded. All sapphires are well matched in colour with an even saturation of colour. All of the diamonds are nice and bright, the larger old European cut diamond with scattered white inclusions running throughout the stone. Some of the claws are worn and would need attention. Ring size P.

Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. The sapphire is dark. It is heavily abraded. Heavy scratches and nibbles can be seen to the facets and facet edges. Dark inclusions are present to each diamond. Small chips can be seen to the surface of one diamond. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen to the ring shank, general wear. The ring has been re-sized and cracks can be seen to the shank under the central sapphire. Ring size Q.

There are slight scratches to the ring in places, the diamonds are lovely and bright and the sapphires are well matched in colour. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the sapphires in places visible with magnification. Ring size N1/2.

Weight 13.2gms. Condition: Overall condition of the collection of rings-fair. One calibre cut ruby deficient from the half eternity. All have incurred wear to the mounts and hoops in keeping with age and being worn.

Lot 159

A multi gem set butterfly brooch, with a cultured pearl and emerald set body and sapphire, ruby and diamond set openwork design wings. Length 4.4cms. Condition: The brooch is in overall good/fair condition. The rubies, sapphires and emerald are quite heavily included, one sapphire with rutile inclusions, the rubies with scattered inclusions and the central emerald with a few surface reaching fractures, the profuse inclusions significantly affect the light transmission through the stone. The rose cut diamonds are all tinted brown, the split pearls vary in shade, the silver mounting is tarnished black, there are slight scratches to the pin and setting.

Lot 175

A pair of sapphire and diamond cluster earrings, each with a collet set oval sapphire surrounded by old European and single cut diamonds. Both sapphires accompanied by a reports from the Gem and pearl Laboratory, stating weights 1.18cts and 0.89cts, Comments: No Evidence of heat treatment observed, Origin opinion: Burma. Report Numbers 02246 and 02249, dated 17th November 2009. Condition: The earrings are in overall fair condition. There are slight scratches to the setting and posts in places, in keeping with slight wear. One sapphire is weaker in colour, there are scattered inclusions to both, the inclusions effect in places slight transmission through the sapphires, there is visible silk/rutile to the one of sapphires. The outer diamonds are a mixture of single cut diamonds, old European cut and round brilliant diamonds, they are fairly bright.

Weight 13.06gms Condition: The brooch is in overall good condition. There are scratches to the brooch in keeping with general wear. The rubies and sapphires are fairly well matched, inclusions are visible to many. There is some discolouration to the suspended bucket detail. The back pin is a little bent.

Weight 3.5gms and 4.7gms respectively. Condition: Overall condition fair-all of the rings have incurred wear in keeping with being worn. No stones deficient, the emeralds display typical inclusions and have minor surface abrasion. The sapphires are a dark blue colour.

Estimated total old European cut diamond weight 0.35cts, colour I-J, clarity SI2-P1. AF. Condition: The ring is in overall fair condition. The setting is extremely tarnished and blackened with areas of greening, the diamonds appear tinted brown some with scattered white inclusions. The sapphire is opaque with angular colour zoning running diagonally across the stone, some of the claws are quite worn and would need attention. Ring size L1/2.

Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. The pink sapphires and blue sapphires are well matched and the outer diamonds are nice and bright. The inner hallmark and makers stamp is nice and clear. Ring size M.

Length of necklace 36cms. Pearl size 4.5mm. Clasp stamped 585. Condition: The necklace is in good condition. All of the cultured pearls are well matched with a nice bright lustre, with a pink/green orient, there are blisters and blemishes to many. There are very minor scratches to the clasp, the saphires are well matched and the diamonds are quite bright

Stamped 750. Condition: Overall good condition. There are some nibbles and two small chips to the girdle of the sapphire. The diamonds are quite bright and lively. Ring size L.

A mid 20th century diamond cluster ring, the circular shaped cluster with seven old European cut diamonds within a sapphire border. Estimated total principal diamond weight 0.65cts, colour I-K, clarity SI1-P1. Stamped Plat. Condition: The ring is in overall fair condition. The diamonds are lovely and bright, there are scattered black inclusions to some of the outer diamonds visible with 10x magnification. There is abrasion is abrasion to the facet edges of the outer sapphires, three are chipped. The outer collet surround is heavily worn and uneven. There are scratches to the ring mount and shank in keeping with the age of the piece. The inner plat stamp is a little worn. Ring size Q.

Lot 343

Four rings, to include two 9ct gold opal and diamond cluster rings, a synthetic blue spinel ring, the spinel cut in the shape of a flower and a 9ct gold oval amethyst set ring. Total weight 12.72gms. AF. Condition: The rings are in overall fair condition. The spinel in the flower design ring are heavily abraded and the back of the ring shank is bent of straight. There is a sapphire missing from the opal and sapphire cluster ring. There is a surface reaching fracture to the oval amethyst in the single stone ring.

Lot 351

A sapphire and diamond necklace, the central panel of leaf decoration is claw set with oval sapphires and brilliant cut diamonds attached to a flat curb link chain. Estimated diamond weight 0.65cts. Necklet stamped 750, safety chain stamped 9K. Length 41cms. Weight 19.6gms. Condition: Overall good condition, with minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear, some of the stones have minor abrasions and some setting may need attention. The clasp is in good working order. The sapphires have a dark body colour and colour zoning and inclusions can be seen in some. Diamonds are quite dull.

Lot 380

An early 20th century bug brooch, the main wishbone panel with a later added sapphire and diamond set bug. Length of brooch 3.5cms. Weight 5.05gms. Condition: The brooch is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the wishbone, we believe the bug to have been added at a later date. The sapphire is of medium blue with an even saturation of colour running throughout the stone. The diamonds are nice and bright, there is a black inclusion to the table face of the diamond visible with 10x magnification. The pin and catch is secure.

Lot 395

An 18ct bi-colour gold sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the pear shaped sapphire within a brilliant cut diamond surround. Estimated total diamond weight 0.16cts. Weight 2gms. Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is good, the diamonds are bright and lively, the sapphire has uneven colour saturation due to some angular colour zoning running through the stone.

Lot 417

Two rings, to include a 9ct gold green diopside, purple gem and diamond cluster ring and an early 20th century 18ct five stone sapphire and diamond ring. Centre stone replaced with a pale blue paste. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1916. Total weight 7.17gms. Condition: The multi gem cluster ring is in overall good condition, with no significant damage. The other ring is in fair condition, the central stone has been replaced with a blue paste that has sunk in the setting, there are scratches and wear to the ring shank. There is abrasion to the outer sapphires, the diamonds are quite bright and the claws are worn. The inner makers mark and hallmark is rubbed.

Lot 454

A 1960`s 18ct gold Dachshund brooch, with a single cut diamond set collar and a sapphire eye. With safety catch. Hallmarks for London 1965. Stamped BR Ltd. Length 4.6cms. Weight 10gms. Condition: Overall good condition, with minor surface scratches. The pin wobbles slightly on its hinge and is slightly misshapen at the end, the clasp is in good working order. The sapphire to the eye is light in colour and the setting may need attention, the diamonds aren`t that well matched, the end one is yellow and cloudy. The brooch has a safety chain attached.

Lot 456

An 18ct gold sapphire and diamond twist ring, the central row of graduated brilliant cut diamonds set to each side by further graduated rows of diamonds each terminating in a claw set oval sapphire. Estimated total diamond weight 0.21cts. Weight 7gms. Condition: Overall condition fair to good, it would benefit from a clean. There is noticeable wear and scratches to the ring shank particularly to the back of the shank, this is also very slightly misshapen. Diamonds are fairly well matched, one sapphire has an uneven colour distribution and is slightly lighter in colour to the other.

An early 20th century sapphire and seed pearl brooch, circular shaped with a central lattice of circular sapphires surrounded by two split pearl set borders. With pendant loop. Diameter of brooch 2.6cms. Weight 4.60gms. Condition: The pendant is in overall good condition. The sapphires are all well matched in colour with slight abrasion to the facet edges of the sapphires visible with magnification. There are some seed pearls with blisters and blemishes, they vary in lustre, some slightly yellower than others. There are slight scratches to the frame in keeping with slight wear, the pin and catch is secure.

Lot 465

Three rings, to include an Edwardian 18ct gold three stone sapphire and diamond ring (hallmarks for Chester 1907), an Edwardian 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring, with three sapphires interspaced by pairs of single cut diamonds (hallmarks for Birmingham 1908) and a three stone diamond ring (outer diamonds deficient). Total weight 9.28gms. Condition: The rings are in overall fair/poor condition. There is a solder join to the back of the three stone sapphire and diamond ring, the makers mark is rubbed. There is personal engraving to the inside of the other sapphire and diamond ring. Both outer diamonds are missing to the last ring, there is tarnishing to the mount, estimated central diamond weight 0.33cts, clarity P2, colour H-I, the back of the ring shank is quite thin.

Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. The sapphire has a corn flower blue body colour. Colour zoning can be seen under magnification. The diamonds are bright and lively. Ring size Q.

Lot 498

GARRARD-a pair of sapphire and diamond clip fitting earrings, the ten circular cut sapphires are gathered in claw settings aside single cut diamond set ribbon detail. Signed to the earring clips Garrard London. Length of earring 2cms. Total weight 11.5gms. Condition: Overall good condition, with minor surface scratches to the metal, some of the sapphires have minor abrasions and chips to the surfaces. The sapphires are quite a deep blue and some are lighter in colour than others. Some of the diamonds are chipped and they are bright and lively. The clips are tight and in good working order.

Chain stamped Tiffany & Co, hallmarks for London 2004. Estimated diamond weight 0.10cts. Total length 24cms. Weight 4.2gms. With fitted boxes. Condition: Overall condition very good. The pendant and chain has incurred only very minimal wear.

Lot 573

Three late Victorian 15ct gold rings, to include a diamond and sapphire ring, the diamonds are in lozenge shape settings interspaced by two round cut sapphires (hallmarks for Chester), a ruby and split pearl ring with scroll detail to the shoulders (hallmarks for Chester, 1892), and a three stone star set diamond ring (hallmarks for Chester, 1898). Total weight 7.7gms. Condition: All of the rings are in overall good/fair condition. There are slight scratches to all of the rings. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the ruby and sapphires. The central diamond to the three stone sapphire and diamond ring is chipped, the inner hallmark is worn.

Two early 20th century 18ct gold rings, to include a graduated old cut five stone diamond ring in a marquise shape setting (hallmarks for Chester, 1913), also an intertwined snake head ring, one head set with a round sapphire and one with an old European cut diamond (hallmarks for London, 1900). Total weight 7.9gms. Condition: Both rings are in overall fair condition. There are scratches and scuffs to both rings in keeping with the age of both rings. The sapphire in the snake ring has abrasion to the facet edges, the inner hallmark is clear and the makers mark is rubbed. The hallmark to the five stone ring is lovely and clear.

An 18ct gold synthetic sapphire and diamond ring, the central synthetic sapphire has a single cut diamond surround. Weight 3.5gms. Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with general wear. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the sapphire, the outer settings are quite heavily abraded to the one termination of the lozenge. The inner hallmark is quite clear. Ring size M.

Lot 587

A sapphire and diamond ring, with a central crossover design diamond point panel set an old European cut diamond and a further diamond and circular sapphire, in an up-finger design. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40cts, colour J-K, clarity P1-2. Stamped 18ct. Condition: The ring is in overall fair/poor condition. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the sapphire and also to the surrounding collet, the collets to both outer diamonds are also worn, one appears to be splitting down to the base. There are near surface reaching fractures to both diamonds, some of the diamond points are chipped and the settings would need to be checked. There are slight scratches to the ring shank. Ring size N1/2.

Two early 20th century 18ct gold five stone rings, to include a sapphire and diamond ring, each graduated sapphire interspaced by diamond detail and a similar ruby and diamond ring. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1919 & Chester 1915. Weight 5gms. Condition: Overall fair to good condition, with wear commensurate to the age of the pieces. They would benefit from a clean. The hallmarks to both are rubbed but legible. The rubies in the ruby and diamond ring show some abrasion to facet edges and faces. The diamonds to the edge of the stone have some small chips, the centre stone is bright and lively. Ring size Q 1/2. The sapphire and diamond ring has a small patch of scratches to the back of the ring, the sapphires show very minor abrasion to the table facet edges and are a medium to deep blue. Ring size M.

Two late 19th/early 20th century 18ct gold five stone rings, to include a boat shaped sapphire and diamond ring and a diamond ring with graduated claw set single cut diamonds. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1895. AF. Condition: Overall condition fair to good, both would benefit from a clean, with wear commensurate to the age of the pieces. The five stone diamond ring has a hallmark which is part illegible. the diamonds would brighten with a clean. Ring size N. The sapphire and diamond ring has a rubbed hallmark which is partly illegible. The sapphires are a medium to deep blue, one end sapphire is slightly darker than the others, some of the stone settings may need attention. Ring size N 1/2.

Weight 11gms. Condition: The rings are in overall fair to good condition. All settings will need attention. May of the claw settings are worn. All stones are present however abrasion can be seen in the form of nibbles and scratches. The sapphires are dark in colour. The blue topaz has pale. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, general wear.

Weight 6.7gms. AF. Condition: All three rings are in fair to good condition. The diamonds are sapphires are bright to the early 20th century 18ct gold ring. One stone is missing to the diamond ring. The present diamond are chipped and included. The sapphires set to the 9ct gold ring are dark.

Total weight 5.9gms. Condition: Overall condition of the cockerel head-good. The crown has one stone deficient and the flower basket has evidence of soft solder to the reverse.

An Art Deco sapphire and diamond bracelet, with three principal rectangular shape links the central old European cut diamond surrounded by single cut diamond set openwork panels with square cut detail. With French assay marks for platinum. Estimated diamond weight 9.00cts. Length of bracelet 17.3cms, width 1.6cms. Weight 56.24gms. Condition: The bracelet is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches and areas of wear to the links in keeping with the age of the piece. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the sapphires, visible with magnification, the sapphires are fairly well matched, some are slightly darker, others greener. The diamonds are lovely and bright, some of the settings would need to be checked. The clasp is secure, however the safety chain is missing.

Lot 36

A sapphire, pearl and diamond bar brooch, the round cut sapphires in six claw settings along the bar interspaced by pearls and scroll decoration set with single cut diamonds and diamond points. Length 4.5cms. Condition: The brooch is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches and areas of discolouration to the bar, the sapphires are all well matched with slight abrasion to the facet edges of one, the diamonds are all nice and bright and the split pearls are well matched. The loop for the safety chain has been re soldered onto the piece with lead solder.

Two stone set rings, to include an early 20th century three stone ruby and diamond ring with scroll design shoulders and replacement 22ct gold ring shank also a sapphire and diamond ring the two old cut diamonds flanked by pear cut sapphires. Weight 5gms. AF. Condition: Both rings are in fair to good condition. All the stone are bright. Most have nibbles to the facet edges. The claw setting will need attention. A 22ct gold ring shank has been added to the ruby and diamond ring. This ring is bent out of shape. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, general wear.

Weight 11.10gms. Condition: The brooch is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the brooch in keeping with general wear, there is some discolouration to the back border. The pin and catch is secure. The millegrain collet settings to the diamonds are quite worn. The sapphire is dark blue with a slightly uneven saturation of colour, the stone displays some colour zoning and patches.
