Two sapphire and diamond brooches, the first of wreath design, with alternating channels of graduated round brilliant-cut diamonds and circular mixed-cut sapphires, 18ct gold mounted, maker's mark FEU, the second of crossover bar design, centred with an old-cut diamond between two circular mixed-cut sapphires, two colour precious metal mounted, lengths 2.7cm and 6.1cm respectively (2)First brooch: of relatively modern manufacture, with light surface wear to mount. Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, graduating from 0.03ct to 0.01ct in size, estimated VS1 to SI2 clarity and I to L colour, assessed mounted. Total diamond weight approx. 0.27ct. Sapphires are mostly well matched, of mid to dark blue hues, with surface wear. The brooch pin and clasp are functioning. Marks to the pin are fairly clear. Gross weight approximately 5.2gm. Second brooch: general surface wear and patchy tarnishing to mount, shallow ding to one end of bar. The fittings are possibly later replaced and currently functioning. The diamond is fairly bright and lively but contains pale fracture inclusions, estimated P1 clarity and J colour, assessed mounted. Diamond weight approx. 0.10ct. Sapphires have surface wear and one stone contains surface-reaching fractures. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 4.3gm.
A black star sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the circular black star sapphire claw set within a border of single-cut diamonds, two colour precious metal mounted, total diamond weight approximately 0.35ct, ring size O½The star sapphire has an opaque brownish-black hue, with needle inclusions visible to the eye and an off-centre 6-ray star effect, measuring approx. 10.5mm diameter x 4.9mm depth. The star sapphire contains surface-reaching fractures and has scratches, scuffs and nicks/chips. Diamonds are well matched and fairly bright, occasional stones with chips/fractures, each approx. 0.02ct in size (too small to give approximate clarity/colour grades). General surface wear to the ring mount, patchy thinning to the tips of the claw settings. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 6.4gm
A black star sapphire pendant/brooch, the circular black star sapphire in ropetwist edged claw setting, with starburst surround, yellow precious metal mounted, suspended from a fine fancy-link chain stamped '750', pendant/brooch length 4.4cm, chain length 50cmScratches and scuffs to surface of star sapphire, which has a brownish-black hue, an off-centre star effect with eye visible rutile inclusions and measures approx. 8.7mm diameter x 2.6mm depth. The pendant/brooch mount and chain have surface wear and both are untested for metal standard. Combined gross weight approx. 8.3gm.

A sapphire and diamond half hoop ring, the graduated cushion-shaped sapphires spaced by pairs of old-cut diamonds, between scrolled shoulders, 18ct gold mounted, ring size OQty: 1Sapphires have slightly variable light to mid blue hues with surface wear and facet edge abrasion, the largest sapphire measuring approx. 4.5mm length x 3.5mm width. Diamonds are fairly lively, with occasional small chips/nicks, and one stone contains multiple fracture inclusions. Total diamond weight approx. 0.10ct. The ring mount has surface wear, with patchy thinning to the tips of the claws. There is a hallmark to the back of the shank for Birmingham 1906 and a further 18ct gold mark to one shoulder that appears to be a more modern mark. The maker's mark is possibly 'CHC' or 'CHG' and the mount is numbered 197. Gross weight approx. 3.8gm.
