A late 19th/early 20th century diamond, pearl and yellow stone brooch, the central yellow stone within a border of twenty-four old cut diamond chips, within a border of cultured pearls and an outer border of eighteen bezel set small diamonds, on a yellow metal mount, with safety chain with a pear-shaped collet set small diamond, unmarked, diameter approx 2.2cm. CONDITION REPORT: The yellow stone is possibly synthetic sapphire. Approx 5.6g.

CONDITION REPORT: Approx 22 diamonds in total. Inclusions not visible to the naked eye. Small inclusions visible with lens. No grey or green tints to stone. Diamonds bright, good clarity.

The date letter 'v' for 1920 is also very similar to the date letter 'V' for 1945 but we believe it to be 1920 due to the style and cutting of the stones. The diamond is an old mine cut diamond estimated to weigh approximately 0.15cts (measuring approximately 3.3mm x 2.95mm x 2.3mm). The ruby and sapphire measure approximately 3.25mm diameter. Clear hallmarks and no obvious signs of any damage or repairs or alterations. Band width approximately 5.65-5.95mm. Gross weight approximately 8.7 grams.
