Registration - Not RegisteredChassis No. - TBCM.O.T. - TBCOdometer - TBCThis dramatic 1996 Ford Sierra Cosworth racing car was prepared by highly reputable Essex specialists Geoff Page Racing. It was built in 1998 at, the vendor says, a cost of £90,000. It was then raced until 2003, and stored until 2019. It subsequently had a full strip-down and refurbishment, while the engine was rebuilt in 2021, before it was given an engine refresh in 2023. The vendor says it was run on the dyno for 30 minutes without boost, then with 1.5 bar boost; on four runs, it made a remarkable 530hp. “Engine run time since the refresh is about 70 minutes.” The vendor reports it is a car that’s had no expense spared on it, and comes with a set of wheels complete with a new set of slicks. There’s also a plentiful supply of spares “and all the fibreglass moulds from when it was built, along with some spare body parts”.The Ford Sierra replaced the Ford Cortina in 1982 and was a model genuinely ahead of its time. The model developed throughout the 1980s, with this four-door Ford Sierra Sapphire saloon joining the original hatchback in 1987. The Ford Sierra quickly found success both on the racetrack and the rally course, and this prowess continued into the 1990s, with enterprising specialists such as Geoff Page Racing developing extreme race-ready versions such as this to compete in series such as the Classic Sports Car Club championship. This is a unique racing car that is sure to cause a stir in historic racing series everywhere. The Bentley Mulsanne is named after the Mulsanne Straight of the Le Mans racing circuit, Bentley cars having won six victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past. Bentley brought back the Mulsanne nameplate that was last used in 1992; this model replaces the hugely successful Arnage and was unveiled at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August 2009. In keeping with the Arnage, the Mulsanne retained the 6750cc, V8 power unit, the engine was lighter and featured cylinder de-activation and variable cam phasing to improve fuel efficiency. It was the first flagship car to be independently designed by Bentley Motors in nearly 80 years; the last being W.O. Bentley's 8 litre model in 1930. Originally registered on 30th September 2011 this Bentley is finished in the desirable colour combination of Dark Sapphire blue over a linen leather interior. A very well-appointed car, this example is offered directly from a private collection and comes with a sizeable history file including a comprehensive service record from main dealer and Bentley specialists detailing 12 services in total, the last of which was undertaken by Herne Motors Bentley specialist in April 2023. In lovely condition this splendid example is offered for sale with a V5C UK registration document, a current MoT test certificate valid until December 2024, and the original full book pack and trickle charger. The Mulsanne cost circa £190,000 when new, and today represents huge value for money with a very attractive estimate. Offering luxury and style in abundance this example is an opportunity not to be missed! Consigned by Daniel Godin From a private collectionDesirable colour combinationSizeable history file
