Raised bands of baguette cut sapphires, milligrain set to each end, and on both sides of the case, with a push piece composed of a pair of square cut diamonds with a triangular sapphire at each end. A pierced head, grain set with a row of graduated old eight cut diamonds, with an outer row of old eight cut diamonds, milligrain set in collets with an open circular frame. Pierced fish scales, to shoulders milligrain set with chevrons of old eight cut diamonds, and foliate engraving to a plain shank. Tested as platinum and 9ct gold. Head 18.50mm wide, 9.92g.Finger size I-I½Accompanied by a report from The Gem And Pearl Laboratory date 15th October 2021 No 20582 stating that no evidence of heat treatment was observed. A sapphire and diamond lozenge shaped brooch, c.1900,with four sapphire and diamond cluster heads. Each oval mixed cut sapphire, grain set to a border of rose cut diamonds, with diamond set open bow links between. All set in silver, with gold pierced galleries to a blade edge bar frame. A later pin and roller catch. Tested as approximately sterling silver backed in 9ct gold. 49 x 39mm, 6.98gCondition report: Later rhodium plating.Tarnished.Table and crown facet edge wear to the sapphires.Scratches and marks consistent with its age.

An 18ct gold and platinum, diamond and sapphire bombé ring, c.1950,by Gubelin. A bombé form head with a pair of crescent shaped rows of brilliant cut diamonds, four claw set in white collets. Graduated circular mixed cut sapphires, four claw set in yellow collets between twisted wires. Seven twisted wire rows forming tapered shoulders to a seven row shank. Signed Gubelin and numbered 3789-46. Marked 750. French poinçon for 18ct gold and platinum. Mark unidentified. Head 22mm wide. A ring case by Longman and Strongi'th'arm, Dover Street, Piccadilly, W1.Finger size N½Condition report: Occasional surface reaching inclusions to the sapphires. Table facet edge wear to a row of the sapphires under 10x magnification.
