A multi gem set butterfly brooch, with a cultured pearl and emerald set body and sapphire, ruby and diamond set openwork design wings. Length 4.4cms.

Condition: The brooch is in overall good/fair condition. The rubies, sapphires and emerald are quite heavily included, one sapphire with rutile inclusions, the rubies with scattered inclusions and the central emerald with a few surface reaching fractures, the profuse inclusions significantly affect the light transmission through the stone. The rose cut diamonds are all tinted brown, the split pearls vary in shade, the silver mounting is tarnished black, there are slight scratches to the pin and setting.
