A LATE GEORGE III MAHOGANY WINE COOLER IN THE MANNER OF GILLOWS, CIRCA 1810 The interior lined with baize and divided 66cm high, 52cm wide, 44cm deep Condition Report: Overall there are some scratches, marks, knocks, cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use.There are some losses, restorations and observations including:The top and side panels have cracks and indented lines probably from shrinkage, there are some other veneer cracks. The lozenge shaped escutcheon is possibly later.There are shadows and filled holes from previous side handles. The hinge areas with some repairs and pale surrounding colour of the wood.There are some cracks to some curved corners and a section of top veneer is detached from one corner.There is a later chain to the hinged lid and the divisions are later lined with green felt. Each interior division is a rectangle of approximately 15cm x 18cm.
