BATTENBERG LOUIS: (1854-1921) British Naval Officer and German Prince, father of Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma. A.L.S., Louis Battenberg, four pages, 8vo, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, 22nd May 1917, to Charles Wheeler. Battenberg thanks his correspondent for their reply, continuing, 'I am not sure whether I mentioned to you, in explaining my design of obverse for King's War Medal that I had intended to make the laurel leaves cover more of the blank part of the rings forming the chain' further continuing, 'As regards the Cavell Medal; in speaking of “bust” I meant only a very small amount of body…' With a minor tear to the foot of the vertical fold, and age wear, otherwise G Charles Wheeler (1892-1974) British Sculptor, the first sculptor to hold the Presidency of the Royal Academy,1956-66.

From the shop Just Eve which was in Kensington Church Street together with a maxi skirt with patchwork design, Size 8, skirt was owned by a member of staff from the shop. Sign measures 35 inches in diameter Condition report: Good, sign shows wear to edges.

A collection of jewellery, to include; an Art Deco circular locket and attached chain, an enamelled chain, a cabochon set brooch, a bead necklace and a graduated topaz coloured bracelet (5) CONDITION REPORT: Enamelled chain - enamel on each of the bars is damaged sadly, chain has also had a repair. Blue stone set bracelet - unmarked, this is gilt metal, not gold.
A 9ct gold chain with attached central T bar and a delicate yellow gold bracelet stamped '9kt' weight 10.9gms gross, along with a chain stamped '10kt' 1.9gms, a yellow metal chain stamped '925', an untested sapphire set bracelet set in yellow metal stamped '925' and an unmounted sapphire (6)
