A 19th century pocket watch by J.A. Squire of Appleby, London 1859, and another Chester 1895. CONDITION REPORT: The larger of the two pocket watches are in generally good order. The watch glass has only minor blemishes and the dial one very small hairline crack running from the outer edge past the numeral 5 to the bottom of the subsidiary seconds dial. The outer case is in good condition as is the inner. The watch does wind but does not appear to be ticking away. The smaller watch has minor scratches to the watch glass and dial but no visible hairline cracks. The outer case is in generally good condition. The watch does not wind and does not appear to be ticking. The pocket watch is over wound but never the less appears to be ticking and may wind down. The outer case is in good condition as is the watch glass and dial. The 9 ct gold chain is in generally very good order each piece being hallmarked along with the T-bar. There is no significant wear to any of the links.
A 9 ct gold locket and chain, the serpentine chain length 56.2 cm, 10.1 grams, Birmingham 1977, the locket Birmingham 1965, 21.3 grams, length 47.6 mm, width 35.6 mm, foliate engraved. CONDITION REPORT: The chain length should read 56 cm. The chain itself is in extremely good condition with no issues. The locket opens and snaps shut as it should. It is in good condition generally with no issues.
A Waltham Hunter pocket watch, with gold plated case, Roman numerals with subsidiary seconds dial, and a 9 ct gold double Albert chain with T bar, each link stamped, 43.6 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The T bar is stamped “9” and “.375”. Each of the links is similarly stamped as is the end clip. The circular opposite end clip is not hallmarked neither is the centre ring that joins the two ends of chain and the T bar. Chain length 43 cm, centre T bar section 5.75 cm. The chain is in generally good condition and does not appear to have had any repairs. It is also not significantly worn.
