A lady's 9 carat gold cross entitled "The Flowers of Lovecross" with certificate of authenticity from Brooks and Bentley, stone set with amethyst and cubic zirconia cross pendant, approximate weight 4.60 g. Also included in the lot is a Pierre Cardin necklace, overall weight including cross and chain 6.65 g, boxed.
A good, mahogany cased, early 20 th century English fusee 12-inch dial clock, signed to the cream painted dial GR and crown emblem (the clock was used in Chester County Offices and has a label stating District Registry attached), cast brass bezel, movement has serial number 4801 and is marked by FW Elliott Ltd., 1938, the case is also stamped for GR (VI), FW Elliott and 1938, with pendulum and key - CONDITION REPORT The clock appears in good original condition. The stained and polished mahogany dial surround is held to the backbox with four matching wooden pegs. The backbox has an age related split to the rear and has a stamped GR VI and crown mark together with the makers mark F.W.Elliott Ltd. And date 1938. There is an aged, yellowed paper label pasted onto the top stating District Registry. Access door for the movement to the right hand side of the backbox has a brass swivel tab to keep closed. Steel hanging plate to the top and brass steady plates to each side. Cream painted dial is laid out with black Roman numerals within a complete minute band and has the monogram GR VI and crown symbol to the centre. There is no significant loss to the black lettering or numerals. The cream background has rings where the dial feet meet, minor circular rubbing possibly from the hour hand. Only minor paint loss around the winding aperture. Matched blued steel spade and poker hands retained by a brass cup washer and bent nail (in place of taper pin). Cast brass glazed bezel, black painted with silvered sight ring. Brass plate movement with grained finish, spring driven with chain fusee, stamped to the centre middle of the back plate serial number 4801, Made By F.W.Elliott Ltd, England and 1938. Brass rod pendulum with lead filled brass bob, missing the suspension spring. - Est £300 - £500
