The Dragonslayer's axe and a knight's sword from Rob Cohen's fantasy adventure DragonHeart. An axe was carried by one of the dragonslayers hired for King Einon (David Thewlis) by his mother Aislinn (Julie Christie). Bowen (Dennis Quaid) later held onto the axe when he swung out on a pulley, causing Einon to fall off the parapet during the climactic battle scenes. Swords were wielded by Einon's knights when they battled Bowen's army of villagers. The axe comprises a black metal head featuring a dragon-head emblem at the centre, and a long, dark-stained wooden handle. Intentionally distressed for the production, the Saxon knight's sword consists of a steel blade, a curved crossguard, a black leather grip and an oval metal pommel. The sword is stored in a black leather scabbard, which features a brown waist strap. Signs of wear include corrosion on the sword blade, scuffing on the wooden handle, and a slightly wobbly axe-head. Dimensions (axe): 156 cm x 49 cm x 4.5 cm (61 1/2" x 19 1/4" x 1 3/4"); (sword): 100 cm x 22 cm x 10 cm (39 1/4" x 8 3/4" x 4")Estimate: £1,000 - 1,500 M

Balian de Ibelin's (Orlando Bloom) hero sword from Ridley Scott's historical epic Kingdom of Heaven. The sword initially belonged to Balian's father, Godfrey (Liam Neeson), who bequeathed it to his son upon his death. Balian then used the sword for the remainder of the film, while defending Jerusalem from Saladin's (Ghassan Massoud) army. The sword is metal with a wooden hilt. Its metal pommel features the cross of St George and its metal guard is adorned with a dog's head at each end. Two short metal chains are looped around the hilt, on either side of a leather grip. The sword is intentionally distressed to look well used, and there are small nicks and dents along the length of the blade, giving the impression it has been used in combat. There is additional wear from production use and age, including scuffing and scratching, and some slight discolouration around the pommel and dog's heads.
