TWO EARLY 19TH CENTURY NEEDLEWORK SAMPLERS, the first worked by Isabella Nicholson dated 1837, with religious verse between various border friezes of stylised flora and fauna, threads faded, original frame, under glass. 36cm, x 31cm, the second, smaller sampler worked by Elizabeth Thomas aged 10, dated 1833, displaying various flora and fauna pictorial images within a running border, framed under glass, 22.5cm x 22.5cm.
