The colours all appear still to be quite bright. There does not appear to be any other repairs to the sampler, but there is discolouration and some staining, and there would appear to be some fox marks and very minor moth holes to the left hand side of the image.Report by GHThis sampler is framed. The photographs should show it, but the sampler comprises a house with foliage, two birds, a cow and information below the garden of the house. There is some discolouration around the edge. The sampler appears to have been done on a thin piece of linen. Colours generally nice and strong for the age. Possibly technically an embroidery rather than a sampler, looks slightly different to an ordinary sampler. The thread appears to be wool. It is framed in a modern gilt frame on a dark green background.
