A 19th Century needlework sampler by Maime Lambres aged 13 dated 1827, and another 19th Century sampler (2) CONDITION REPORTS The 1827 sampler very browned and with some deterioration to the fabric and some small holes, staining and fading and some stitched repairs. The other with yellowing and browning and fading and some holes and small tears.
An early Victorian silk stitch sampler with a religious verse, signed Elizabeth Beardmore, aged 10, September 18th 1840, stitched with an urn of flowers, two flower sprays and floral borders, within original mahogany veneered cushion frame, 43 x 34cm. Condition Report: The measurement is the actual sampler size only. The frame has much missing veneer and looks to be original. Sampler has some staining to the right hand side, a couple of small holes top left hand side. Some stretching of the fabric.

λAn early 19th century needlework sampler, worked a verse, a three masted ship `Dorothy,` flowers, `T.D`, `M.D` column fronted houses, trees, animals and birds, `Anstruther Davidson, Aged 7 Years 18..,` 15¼ x 11½in (38.6 x 29.2cm) in a later rosewood frame. Dorothy was a convict ship that sailed from Cork on 5th May 1820 to New South Wales.

A LINEN BAND SAMPLER DATED 1765 worked with Adam and Eve and the Tree of Knowledge, other figures, swans, double headed eagle and crown, stag and dog, peacock and flowerpots and trees headed by trailing flowers and alphabet and number bands, 74 x 29cm Typical general fading and oxidisation. The black dye of the yarn worked in the eagle has run, old damp stains lower left and right. Closed framed in narrow oak frame of c1960
AN EARLY VICTORIAN LINEN SAMPLER inscribed "Done by Fanny Rowell for her Beloved Friend Mrs Brown in the Year of Our Lord 1838 Nottingham" and worked with a church, house, dove of peace, trees, birds and flower baskets in trailing border, 34.5 x 31.5cm In relatively unfaded bright condition retaining even some of the light blue pigment, the odd tiny moth hole and pulled thread and in unusually well preserved condition undisturbed in what is likely to be the original Victorian rosewood and line inlaid flat frame offered by a direct descendant of Fanny Rowell
