Late Victorian sampler by Jane Crocker - Mosside Forgue, 1889 framed 58cm x 44cm CONDITION REPORT: At some point this sampler has been rolled or folded so there are some fold marks The colours are rather faded but the stitch work is in good condition. The canvas is fairly bright, there is slightly more browning to the right hand side of the canvas but it is in generally good condition. the frame is slightly bashed and the gilt part of the frame is rather rubbed.

A George III Ackworth School medallion sampler, worked in cross stitch by Mabel Wigham, with flowers, trees, a swan and birds, inscribed ' Mabel Wigham, Ackworth School, 1808', 'A TOKEN OF LOVE 1808' and 'MW to MW 1808', 41.5 x 31.7cm, in a later glazed frame. Ackworth School, near Pontefract, Yorkshire, was founded in 1779 as a boarding school for Quaker boys and girls. Mabel Wigham was listed in the Ackworth School Catalogue in 1809 as coming from Sheffield.
Rachel Louisa Connolly, 1873 Celbridge, Co. Kildare: A large Needlework Sampler, with letters, numbers and bible quotations by 'Rachel Louisa Connolly, aged 13 years, April, 1873, Castletown School, Celbridge," approx. 39cms x 29cms (15 1/2" x 11 1/2"); also a smaller ditto by the same artist, with embroidered decorations, fancy border, animal, tree and vase, both framed. A rare pair. (2)
